"God I hate these mazes." The cold walls all looked the same, she felt like she was going in a circle that was never ending. After a few more minutes she decided to just sit down against a wall. A ways away she heard two voices talking and shoes clanking against the concrete floor.

Peering around the corner she saw Proxy with two men following her, walking side by side.

Decided this was her only chance she stood up following them. A few more steps later she reached the door unlocking it and stepping in.

As quickly as she walked, she stopped when she saw the two men holding guns at Jeremiah who glanced at her before back to the officers. After a brief few seconds Jeremiah finally shifted.

"May I put my hands down now gentalmen?" One officer nodded putting his gun away. Jeremiah looked at her again nodding at her which made her finally move and walk toward him.

"Sorry I took so long, I got lost." She whispered in her irish accent, she smiling at the end of her sentence. Jeremiah nodded and smiled briefly at her.

"Don't worry, I figured as much." She got lost quite often in the maze which was understandable.

"Sorry Mr. Wilde, you took us by surprise." The younger cop said shifting on his feet.l and putting his gun away.

"Who may this be?" The older one said, he looked uneasy. Jeremiah cleared his throat walking around her.

"Aurelia, my fiance." Aurelia waved setting down her book bag.

"Tráthnóna maith" To avoid talking to the cops, Aurelia turned around to Jeremiah's board analyzing what he'd been doing recently. Aurelia managed to catch the officers names before they started talking about Jerome. She'd heard of James Gordon before but his side-kick not really.

Jeremiah talked to the two cops for a while before they brought up the monitors which made Jeremiah nervous and stand up fast which startled Aurelia making her turn around.

"Uh-oh." She whispered, going to Jeremiah's side and taking his hand as the Gordon turned on a monitor which showed Jerome stretching on his jacket.

"Told you it was a bad idea." Which made him sigh and shake his head.

"Not the time Aurelia." She mumbled a sorry and let go of him to go grab her book bag.

The older one was the first to speak and turn toward Jeremiah and Aurelia.

"Oh, Yeah." He scoffed "I'd say that's pretty damn sensitive." Jeremiah clenched his jaw slightly which Aurelia noticed and intertwined their hands.

After he relaxed he softly smiled at her before looking back at the two cops.

"You need to take us to your brother." Jeremiah turned and rubbed his face, Aurelia stepped back and crossed her arms.

"I can't do that." Aurelia rolled her eyes, wishing Jeremiah would just take them to him.

"What if he nuttier than the other one?" Aurelia clenched her jaw at the mention that Jeremiah could even be as insane as his twin.

"I'm nothing like Jerome!" Jeremiah was breathing heavily and stepped forward, Glaring at the older cop, who was Harvey, as Gordon placed his hands on Jeremiah's chest pushing him back.

Aurelia was getting nervous by the pasting minute glancing at the monitors every now and then. Jeremiah noticed how nervous she was while talking with the two cops.

When Aurelia glanced to the screen again she noticed something in the cameras, walking toward the screen she saw a man with a top hat with Proxy, on the other was some sort of Scarecrow walking fast through the maze.

"Uhm, Jeremiah." Looking back, all three of the men were looking over at the screens.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Harvey blurted, turning and pointing at the screens, "The loonies are outside." Aurelia pulled a face at the names before looking back at the screens.

Jeremiah panicked at ran to her side whispering under his breath.

"How'd they find me?" Aurelia noticed the sheer panic in his voice and put a hand on his shoulder and he messed with the screens.

"Must've followed Jerome. We need to move, now" Just as he said that the lights turned red and the monitors turned off. Aurelia slightly curse herself when an alarm started to ring.

"This is not good." She nodded and agreed with the Harvey, swiftly walking to the table with Jeremiah right behind.

"Is there another way outta here?" Jeremiah nodded, stopping right before the sliver table.

"As a child, I was obsessed with labyrinths, so I designed my house like one." Jeremiah buttoned his coat, clicking a button under the table that opened a door.

"So this house is a maze?"

"Yes, Jeremiah is the only one who knows the way out." Aurelia explained, she had noticed that Jeremiah was uneasy.

"Even I have trouble around it," She laughed quietly to herself, "I recommend staying close to Jeremiah." The two men nodded following close behind.

After a while of walking Jeremiah finally spoke up to break the silence.

"The maze is built on a hundred acres. There are 73 dead ends." Aurelia heard one of the cops sigh when that was brought up.

"I once invited the top maze designers in the country to try and solve it." Jeremiah turned to look behind him.

"One did. It took him three day's." Jeremiah practically scoffed, looking forward again.

"How much further?" Aurelia asked, dragging her feet slightly. It wasn't like it was a long walk and she wasn't tired, she was just bored.

"Not far. We just passed the final switchback point." Aurelia nodded before rubbing her face with her hand. Jeremiah turned the corner as Harvey spoke to Gordon.

"If I knew this thing was a hundred acres, I would have stopped and got a sandwich before we came." Aurelia snorted with laugher rounding the corner right behind Jeremiah.

After more walking, Ecco rounded the turn. She looked oddly stiff and was looking straight forward. Jeremiah walked toward her to check that she was okay, Aurelia wasn't gonna lie and say that it hurt when he did that.

"Hey, hey, hey." Harvey called out, "She's hypnotized." Gordon pulled his gun out as Harvey walked forward and toward Ecco. Suddenly Ecco kneed Jeremiah causing Aurelia to gasp and run to his Aid.

"Hey, you alright." Jeremiah nodded, groaning before sitting up against the wall. Ecco punched Harvey in the face, pushing him against a wall before moving onto Jim who put up a fight, Ecco got Gordon to the ground as Aurelia helped Jeremiah stand up.

"Ecco. It's us." Ecco stood up walking toward Jeremiah and grabbed his arm pulling it behind him. Ecco then grabbed her and pulled her with them as they walked down the maze.

"Ecco please. Where are you taking us?" Jeremiah finally spoke, groaning as Ecco's grip tightened.

"I'm taking you to Jerome."

"No." Jeremiah almost pleaded, Aurelia shuddered.

"Please Ecco. Let us go."

"He'll do horrible things to me, Ecco." Suddenly a gun cocked making Aurelia jump a little as Ecco spun around.

Ecco let go, going for Harvey. Jeremiah saw this as a chance to escape, grabbing Aurelia's arm he dragged her with him.

After a minute they reached the end where a big purple neon sign was with an arrow.

"Hello brother."

An: So this is my first time writing in a few months, hopefully this doesn't suck. Also left it on a somewhat cliffhanger.
