From now on, I'm putting the thumbnails of every chapter into the paragraphs themselves at the beginning because everytime I publish a chapter with a thumbnail already in it, it disappears, so I need to reupload it, which is too annoying to deal with. This applies to every story I write.

The first of the seven days that the 28 people that are spending time off from work to watch events of the past is now over, at least for continuing the watch party.

Cornelia slumped into her bed, sitting up, her head resting on the headboard, wearing her pajamas and a simple loose half-sleeve shirt, head down in thought.

Often times would she think of Lelouch with nothing but resentment, which she has every right to, more so than anyone. After all, he murdered the one person she cares about more than anyone.

But lately after everything she had seen, the General serving as Nunnally's second most trusted officer behind only Zero is beginning to see things more clearly.

He was rejected by the world, and so, he rejected it in return, a world that would make a public spectacle and laugh at the weak being tormented by the strong. Most of the nobility and royals would find great entertainment if someone like Nunnally were to be physically hurt in front of them, all while Charles zi Britannia would do nothing. Not even the Knights of the Round would, for doing so would betray the 98th Emperor's ideals and their allegiance to him.

The former Viceroy of Area 11 felt sick to her stomach, realizing she participated in similar acts by ordering the destruction of the Saitama ghetto. Did that fuel Lelouch's hatred for Britannia? Did it cloud his vision and push him towards the decision of murdering Euphemia?

Finally, after holding it in so long, the sobs fully escape her.

"Princess-!" Guilford panics as he watches from his bed next to hers in worry.

"*hic* It all makes *hic* so much more sense now, why Lelouch chose the path he did. My actions may have pushed him to make such *hic* decisions. I'm a terrible leader. Am I partially to blame for Euphemia's death? *hic* For Lelouch's?"

"Your highness..." He's unsure what to say.

As her knight, Guilford wants nothing more than to take her pain away, even if it means making it his, but for the first time in years, he feels powerless, for his Princess mourns.

She already knows the answer to her question. The meeting on the Ikaruga where she and Schneizel managed to almost unanimously convince the Black Knights to betray Zero led to Lelouch's death.

"I... I'm so sorry... Lelouch..." Cornelia cries herself to sleep.

A few floors above her, Nunnally silently does the same.

Meanwhile, in the C's World, A.A looks towards the sky.

"What is it you will have me do? He has decided that he will reveal himself to those humans, but is that really a wise course of action? ... I see. In that case, the best I can do is to try to protect His Majesty."
