Apparently I'm a dumb bitch and forgot to put this in the last few chapters🤚 but in this book omegas pregnancy is a little different to humans. Normally you can't tell you're pregnant until a few weeks after conception, but in my book you can tell within a week because of the abilities they have, which is how long ago Louis and Harry had sex. Doesn't really make sense but it fits the timeline because again, I'm an idiot Xoxo

After last night's little discovery, Louis completely forgot that he had the meeting to attend to, so he couldn't take Harry to the nurse. So they decided to go the next day, but then Louis was called in by the troops because something went wrong. And the next day was the nurses training day where everyone who's signing up to be a nurse, which there are a few of because of the war, get tested on their skills and all the nurses who are already hired get tested as well. Just to see if they're still up to date with their skills.
So it wasn't until a week later that they finally got in for a checkup. And that was only because they told Jay about everything that's happened and she was quick to book them in to see her.
So that's what the couple are doing now, walking into a room where Jay's all prepared for them. Niall and Maria, bless their hearts, offered to watch Luna while they went so her and Adira can play.
Who, speaking of, are going really good. They're officially a couple and couldn't be happier. And Adira adores Niall, much to the couples relief.
"Hi lovelies." Jay beams at them.
"Hi mum." Louis gives her a peck on the cheek and a hug, which is then followed by Harry doing the same.
"Alright Harry, you know the drill." Jay pats the medical bed. "Up ya hop."
Harry smiles nervously as he gets on it, with Louis helping him, and lays back down. He was really anxious. It's not that he didn't want to be pregnant, he does. That's why that one night 2 weeks ago they decided to start trying. But that was before they were preparing for war.
If something happens to him then it's also going to affect their unborn baby. And what if the war continues even once the babies born? What if something happens to them?
"How long ago do you guys think you um, conceived?" Jay asks, clearly quite uncomfortable asking her son and son-in-law that.
"Uh." Louis clears his throat. "About 2 weeks ago?" He looks at Harry for confirmation. Harry nods with a small frown.
"An ultrasound machine won't pick a fetus that small so," Jay grabs some disposable gloves from a box of them and puts them on. "Do you mind lifting your shirt Harry?"
Harry grabs the hem of his shirt and lifts it up, exposing his stomach.
"I'm just gonna have a feel around okay?" Jay tells him more so then asks. She sets her hands on the smooth skin and starts pressing down on certain areas.
Almost all maternity nurses in the pack are trained to determine if someones pregnant just by concentrating on feeling their stomach for anything unusual, smelling the different hormone levels and the pheromones the omega's releasing.
Honestly, it's kinda creepy. It's always fucked with Louis' mind on how that's even possible, ever since he was little.
Jay's still got her hands on Harry, eyes closed and brows pinched in concentration.
She presses down on a particularly sore spot making Harry flinch. "Ow."
"That hurts there?" Jay's eyes fly open to look at Harry as she presses on the spot again.
Harry winces. "It's really sore there."
Jay nods her head, but has a small smile on her face. "Well, you're hormones are absolutely raging. Maternity, protective momma pheromones are basically rolling off you in waves. How have you not been able to tell Louis? Can't you pick up on that?"
Louis frowns. "I haven't really had time to pay attention to it, I've been so busy with planning. Plus he always has those kinda pheromones because of Luna. But now that you've mentioned it..." Louis'eyes go wide.
"Right? They're strong." Jay nods at seeing her son's shocked face.
"Holy shit." Louis instantly reaches out to place two hands on Harry, suddenly feeling the need to be as close as possible with him.
"And give me you're hand." Jay grabs Louis' and places it on the sore spot on Harry's stomach. "Feel here."
"Mum I don't know how to know just by fe-"
"You're his alpha, you will be able to even without proper skills." She places her hand on top of his hand presses down slightly.
Louis' eyes go wide for a second time.
Harry stares at the two of them, trying to hold back a yelp at the pain.
"You feel it?" Jay smiles.
Louis nods and looks at Harry before back at his mum. "Will Harry be able to feel it?"
"He's carrying." Jay nods.
Louis gently takes Harry's hand and puts it on the same place his were.
Harry feels around for a moment before his breath stutters. "Is-is that-"
"That, sweethearts, is your new little baby." Jay nods in confirmation with a wide grin plastered across her face.
Harry looks at Louis in shock before leaning up and grabbing him in a tight hug.
Louis' quick to return it, letting out a breathy laugh. "Holy shit, we're having another baby."
It's like every worry that clouded Harry's mind before had been wiped away and replaced with absolute joy. He can't believe it.
A tear makes its way down his cheek. "Yeah."
They both stay like that for a while, still in shock. They're gonna be parents again. Luna's going to be a big sister.
