When I first started making fanfics in notes I used to make characters talk like this
Character 1: hi. Character 2: hi.
Instead of doing that do this
"Hi" character 1 said "hi" character 2 said
Or if character 1 was a girl it would be this
"Hi" she said
And make sure to add this "(the word)" instead of this
Hi character 1 said
That kinda confused me lol
