⠀⠀⠀⠀ THE PLAYERS WERE led into a large room with nature themed walls and sand covered the ground. They were instructed to stand behind a white line. There was a long green line at the other end of the room. Behind that line stood two guards that stood on each side of a gigantic doll-statue that wore an orange dress. If she were to be completely honest, she didn't have a good feeling about what was happening. A big open space with no where to hide.. How lovely!
⠀⠀⠀⠀"For your first game, you will be playing red light, green light." A lady's voice spoke as the doll whirled around to face the wall. "You are allowed to move forward when it shouts 'green light', stop when it says 'red light'."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ It was something that Michelle played as a child. The girl had some long legs that rarely failed her so she wasn't too worried. It seemed simple enough. Maybe it was a little too easy for Michelle's liking. There had to be an extra catch.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ She glanced beside her, seeing the two men from earlier goof around. They made a bet to see who would make it to the end first. She narrowed her eyes when they both looked in her direction then huddled together, whispering amongst themselves. She had a feeling that the two were going to adopt her and drag her around with them. She was proven to be correct when the two men suddenly moved themselves closer to her.
⠀⠀⠀⠀"Psst! Three!" Player 250 whispered. It took a few seconds before Michelle remembered that she's number three.
⠀⠀⠀⠀"Hmm?" She hummed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀"Want to play with us?" Player 324 asked. "We made a bet to see who'll win first. Loser owes one million won."
⠀⠀⠀⠀"Sure." Michelle replied with a shrug, lopsided smirk taking over her frown. "Why not snag some extra money while I'm in here?"
"If your movement is detected afterward, you will be eliminated."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ Michelle raised her eyebrows. For some odd reason, that statement felt more like a threat to her than a warning. "What does she mean by that?"
"The players who cross the finish line within the five minute playtime will pass the round. With that, let the game begin."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ As the timer began counting down, the doll sang, "GREEN LIGHT."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ Player 324 playfully pushed Player 250 then ran off. Player 250 and Michelle shared a look before running after him, laughing at his cheating antics. The crowd behind them hesitantly followed the three. As Michelle noticed that the song was coming to an end, she came to an complete stop. She did not want to risk her chances.
