7. Breakfast with my neighbour

As we enter in, an old lady with the sweetest smile approaches us, 'JUNGKOOK! Is that a girl I see? I was waiting for this day!'

I blush immediately. My face is probably as red as a tomato right now. I hope he doesn't notice.

'Aunt May, don't embarrass me' Jungkook whines.

Jungkook looks at me and says 'This is my Aunt May, she's my mom's bestfriend. Aunty May, this is Amelia.'

'Oh hello dear! It's so nice to see Jungkook bringing a girl over.  I will bring you'll the breakfast special and it's on the house.' says Aunt May.

'N..No you don't have to do that.' I respond immediately.

'No I insist. You have no idea how happy I am to see you.'

I smile gratefully.

When I look over at Jungkook he looks embarrassed. Am I really the first girl he has brought over?

As Jungkook leads the way to sit, I notice a wall filled with polaroid's. I walk towards the wall and take in this beautiful wall filled with so many beautiful memories.

'Aunt May and her husband love being a host and they cherish every customer. So at the end of a meal, you take a picture and place it on the wall.'

'That's so cool!'

Jungkook walks towards the wall and points to a bunch of polaroid's. I follow his finger and notice him in some with his friends.

'That looks so wholesome. I love this idea!'

'Um.. do you want to take one?'

'Uh.. sure!'

I know we are not close enough to take a picture nor do I know him well enough but I couldn't decline the offer.

He grabs the polaroid camera and walks towards me.

'Hey Amelia look at this' says Jungkook and instantly clicks the button.

'Heyyyyy that's not fair, we were suppose to take it together.'

'That one is for me' says Jungkook smiling. And puts the picture in his jacket pocket.

My face goes red.

Jungkook walks towards me to take a picture of us. But I become awkward not knowing how to pose with him.

Jungkook understands the situation and puts his arm around my shoulder bringing me closer to him. He looks at me with his sparkling eyes staring into my soul which brings shivers all over my body and smiles. I return the smile and he takes a picture.

You can tell by the picture that's it's genuine between us and we're more than just friends. But I don't want to admit it.

I was so captured by the moment we just had as I did not notice Aunt May walking over with our food.

'Aww you guys really make a good couple.'

'Aunt May, what took you so long? How can you keep your boy starving? Jungkook says with a pout on his face. He looks so adorable when he does that. He did not bother correcting her which made me blush even more.

I thank her for the food and we walk over to our seat.

'Wow this looks amazing.'

'Yes, she and her husband are the best cooks. They never disappoint. I prefer their food over my Mom's even.' Jungkook laughs.

'I've never see you laugh like that. You should do it more often.'

'If it's for you, sure'

I laugh and hit him on his hand for being so goofy.

'Hey I'm trying to eat here.'

We continue to talk about our childhood life, our favorite food, the music we listen to and so on. I tell him about Lexi and the bond we share. But I instantly regret bringing that up as he changes his posture. He's not smiling anymore and continues eating.

I wonder why he reacted like that. Did I say something bad. I don't bother asking him worried that I'll upset him even more.

We continue eating our meal in silence. I really wish he would tell me what I did wrong. Maybe I just have to be patient with him. He has already shared a lot with me.

I know his favorite color is black. He loves food and told me that he has once had six packs of ramen by himself which I find hilarious. He loves boxing and even trains. He also loves to sing and draw, basically an all rounder.

Once we're done with our meal, I thank Aunt May for her kindness, say our goodbyes and we leave to school.

I wish we could hang out more.

As we enter his car, I receive a notification.

'WHERE ARE YOU?'

OH NO, I have a lot of explaining to do.
