Louis ends up sleeping in his nest for the next week. He makes sure to move from his bed to the nest after the boys check on him at night and they don't know anything about it. His room is his safe zone, he breaks and cries and falls apart behind the door and puts on a front when he leaves the room.

He's been feeling like absolute shit, like he has a terrible flu and he's so tired and rundown, but he doesn't let anyone know or let them see. He doesn't eat but plays it off like he's already eaten with the boys, and they buy it. They don't question him because he's playing his part well.

Professor Dean hasn't been in class the last week and Louis is so bloody thankful, he couldn't imagine having to hide more bruises from his brothers on top of everything else, his rib is feeling much better thankfully.

Friday night comes around much quicker than he would have liked though and he knows he has to see Harry, Scott and Jax and act like he's okay with it all.

Harry and Scott have tried to message him and call, but he completely ignores them, what do they expect.

Louis makes it home by 6pm, Noah dropped him home and he and Noah walk in together, Edward finally decided to invite him for dinner too and Louis is so happy for them.

They walk into the loungeroom, where the boys are gathered, Harry, Scott and Jax already there.

Louis has told Noah as much as he's told the boys about the situation and says he's not bothered by anything; Noah doesn't buy it though.

They are greeted by the boys and everyone apart from Louis sees how much Scott and Harry's faces light up and how much they relax their alphas at the sight of Louis

Louis greets his brothers who cuddle him close, and ruffle his hair, Louis stands back and greets Harry and Scott from afar, to say they are disappointed is an understatement.

They then take a very good look at Louis and their instincts become extremely on edge, Louis looks sick and has lost a significant amount of weight.

"How are you, Lou?" Harry asks when greetings have been done

"Good, how are you?" Louis says and it's short and to the point, his brothers watch the interaction closely

"Yeah, good, we've missed you" Scott says smiling

Louis just smiles tightly; they have no right to say that.

Jax then steps in closer to Scott who puts his arm around Jax's waist, Louis pretends he doesn't care

"Would you like a drink Lou, the girls are bringing dinner home, they should be here in about twenty minutes" Andy says

He sees all the boys drinking red wine, even Jax has a glass, Edward hands Noah one too as they all look towards him expectantly

"I'm good thanks, I'll get a water in a minute" Louis smiles

Harry and Scott have missed Louis voice so much.

The boys sit down around the lounge room, Edward, and Noah together on the couch. Andy and Drew on the other end, while Scott, Harry and Jax take the floor near the coffee table facing the boys on the couch. Louis takes the floor near the single lounge chair

"So, you're at University Lewis?" Jax asks when they are all comfortable

Louis doesn't want to be here right now and he sure as shit doesn't want to talk to Jax

"Ahh yeah" Louis says quietly

"His name is actually Louis" Andy blurts out trying to be nice

"Oh, I'm sorry I heard Lou and thought Lewis" Jax says but he doesn't sound sorry at all, in fact he smirks at Louis
