I woke up roughly almost rolling off my king-sized bed due to the harsh sound of the alarm clock.
Shitty alarm.
Who the hell set the alarm volume that high. My head was hurting like hell already.
I tried to get up to put off the alarm bell but was too weak. I guess I was suffering from a wicked hangover.
I had too much to drink last night.I lay back on my bed and covered my ears with my thick pillows.
After the alarm bell stopped, I freed my head and pressed the button near my bed.
It was kind of like a personal bell of my own. A bell of service.
Not a few seconds later, three maids in uniform rushed into my room.
“Goodmorning young master!” the three of them said in unison.
“Which one of you set my alarm clock?” I asked without wasting much time.
“Sir-r it was me. I'm sorry if it bothered your sleep, sir.” She said with her head low.
“I believe you know what's coming to you right?” I said with no emotions whatsoever.
“I'm sorry sir. Please forgive me. I thought because it was a school day today, you would have liked to wake early. I sincerely apologize for my mistake.” the maid ranted.
“I've heard enough. All of you get out.” I said and they all turned their backs to leave but I just couldn't let this slide like that.
“Oh and alarm maid? You're fired.” I said and gestured with my hands for them to leave. After that, I took some pain killer pills that always sit at my bedstand and lay back down.
I heard some cries from outside my door but it didn't matter to me.
I couldn't let any mistake from these peasants slide. They deserve everything that comes to them.
My name is Zion Cruz. I'm the only son of my mother and the heir to the Cruz Diamonds Empire. We deal in diamonds, gold and other priceless stones. We also have several companies all over the world.
Our Empire is well known all through the world and I would be made the CEO of it all when my mother retires from office.
Honestly, I don't think I'll ever be ready for that kind of responsibility. Besides I'm just 18. I still have a lot of things to do and experience, a lot of things to explore. Maybe after college and when I'm older then I might be ready to handle it all.
I go to one of the best high schools in the whole world. This particular school is made for children of people of importance.
I had only three friends. My best buds. We've all been friends since our kindergarten days and have grown so close to each other. We consider ourselves brothers.
My mother didn't believe in friendships. She always told me I didn't need any friends. But she's wrong about that.
My mom only let me become friends with them because they were all from prestigious well-respected families.
My mother always warned me to stay away from poor people. She said they were like plagues that needed to be avoided. And I believed her.
In my school, my friends and I were the most popular guys around. The rest of the guys were just posers and wannabes. Everyone else acknowledged us and showed us maximum respect.
