Debut

Yujin: Are you okay Jahoon? You know that you can always talk to me if you have any problems.

Jahoon: I know unnie. There is nothing wrong, I'm just worried about messing up our debut. I don't want to be a burden to any of you especially when I'm the oldest here.

Yujin: Unnie, you know that you don't have to be alone with your worries. It's okay to tell other people about it.

Jahoon: When did you suddenly become this mature?

Yujin: Unnie~

Jahoon: I'm sorry. Come on, don't be so sad about it. Let's go to the others. They are probably in the dance room waiting for us right now.

I got up on my feet and dusted myself off after having been sitting on the floor. Yujin wrapped her arm around mine, letting us walk together to the dance room. I opened the door to see only Liz and Leeso inside.

Jahoon: Where are the others?

Liz: I think Gaeul unnie is still doing her lesson and I saw Rei in the cafeteria before I came here, but I haven't seen Wonyoung unnie.

Wonyoung: I'm here.

Yujin and I turned around to see Wonyoung right behind us. Rei and Gaeul were making their way towards us.

CEO: Just in time. I actually wanted to see all of you guys today. Let's go inside.

Our CEO walked past us and gestured for us to get inside the room. We walked inside and sat on the floor, all seven of us.

CEO: The reason I want to see you guys is that you are all confirmed to debut in three months.

We all looked at each other with surprise. I couldn't believe my own ears. I was going to debut. Our CEO left us alone to celebrate our debut among ourselves.

Tomorrow is finally the day that we are going to debut. We were all at the practice room practicing for the last time before finally going on stage but I have to admit that I wasn't feeling well right now. None of the girls knew about it since they all have a lot on their plate and I don't want to burden more.

Dance teacher: Alright everyone! The break is over now! Let's go over the dance one more time.

We walked over to our spots but suddenly I felt too unwell to cover it up. I ran out of the room and threw up in the trash can outside. I heard the door to the room open but I was too busy throwing up to look who it was.

Gaeul: It is okay. Just let it all out.

I felt Gaeul rubbing my back making me feel thankful. After a while I felt a little better to stand straight up, making me also notice Yujin's presence.

Yujin: Here are some water unnie. You should go home to rest. I already asked our manager to take you home.

Jahoon: I'm fine. I can continue. Our debut is tomorrow.

Gaeul: No! Unnie, you have to go home and rest or it will end up with us debuting without you by our sides and we don't want that to happen!

Manager: Come Jahoon. I will take you home.

Seeing that it was three against one, I couldn't do anything but follow. I sighed - and walked with our manager, who drove me home and back to the company to fetch the girls when they were done, leaving me home alone to feel miserable.

I cracked my neck a few times and shook the nervousness out of my whole body. Finally, the long-awaited day has come. The day of my debut. I hope that I will do great but I know that I will be nothing compared to Wonyoung and Yujin.

Yujin: Are you okay unnie? Are you still feeling unwell?

Jahoon: I'm fine now Yujin. Don't worry. You guys took great care of me yesterday, so now I'm healed. Are you nervous?

Yujin: A bit. Even though I have already gone through the process before it still gets me.

Jahoon: It is normal for a human to be like that but I know that you will do great today. You have an amazing stage presence that will pull in anyone looking at you.

Yujin: Such a sweet talker unnie. I know that unnie will do great also, so then we don't have to actually worry much do we?

Yujin and I laughed. A staff member walked towards us and told us to get ready since we were going on stage in five. We fixed the last things that needed to be fixed and got on stage to finally perform and debut.

Jahoon: Mom~

I cried out as I saw my mom waiting for me behind the stage. It's been a long time since I have last seen my parents. The last time was when I was accepted as a trainee and began training three years ago. I ran over to my mom and hugged her tightly into me. I could feel someone wrapping their arms around me and mom, instantly knowing that it was my dad and my big brother.

Little brother & sister: I also want to be a part of the hug!!!

I let go of mom with a chuckle and bent down to my little siblings who were both looking at me with their doe eyes. I pulled them into a big tight hug, making them giggle and wrap their small arms around my neck.

Jahoon: I missed you guys.

Dad: We all missed you too. Especially your little siblings. They have been whining to see you again.

Little brother: Noona! You did really great on stage!

Big brother: Yeah! And I'm proud to have a little sister like you.

Jahoon: What happened to you? Suddenly becoming sweet like this.

I stood back up straight and looked at my brother with a disgusted look. He wrapped his arm around my neck and pulled me into a headlock. I giggled and tried to break free but stopped when I saw the others with their family. They were all crying and hugging. I couldn't help but feel a little ache in my heart to see them cry like this but also happy on their behalf for them to see their families again. My brother pulled away from me and we all walked over to them together and greeted their families, becoming my own extended family.
