"Hey! Easy on my arm. Jeez. I can walk on my own you know?" The girls laugh was as soft and bright as an angel. Kaeya scoffed. "Oh yeah? Well you sure are dragging your feet." He playfully insulted. The two approached a food table with a variety of different foods and beverages to appeal the guests and their possible hunger. His gloved hand wrapped around an empty glass and turned to the girl. "Pick your poison." He gestured to the left were the drinks were lined up, waiting to satisfy any being who's thirst needed to be quenched. All the dancing and celebrating would make anyone thirsty and/or hngry. There was a nice variety to choose from. Starting from fruit punch, to mondstadts most famous wine, even boreal watch! All beverages that originated from Angels Share. She heard many great things about the tavern. But to actually be able to taste the drinks she heard so much about was another. The many different aromas wafted into her nose, making her mouth water.
"Didn't think you'd be that in awe at drinks." Kaeya teased. From where he stood, it just looked as if she never had seen a drink before, but he knew the drinks were only making her thirstier, raising the desire to quench her own thirst.
"There's so many." Her eyes trail to every bowl.
"Indeed there is. So many choices with only one you can pick. What a real shame." He raised the glass, his way of urging her to make a choice.
"Ah okay okay. Loves poem." She chose and turned to Kaeya. "So... what was that about back there? Ya know, with Diluc." She tilted her head, questioning the many things about just who Diluc could be to Kaeya.
"Ah you don't waste time, do you?" He turned to fill her empty glass wth the drink of her choosing. "He's in fact my brother. Well, adoptive brother." He turned to her, the glass now filled with the beverage that caused her eyes to beam with joy. She took tbe glass from his grasp. "Wait- Really?" Her eyes widened in realization. Was he serious? Part of her was skeptical. With how much tension is between them, she would've never thought. "Indeed. Though we are like water and oil, we are brothers." He tilts his head. "How should I put this... Well we were close years ago. We'd walk along the beach, fetch some shells and always come back with a haul. Whoever had the most won." He chuckled, the look in his eyes made it obvious he was reminiscing. She could even guess he was imagining that day, replaying it by memory. "But that, of course, fell apart." He folded his arms against his chest. "Well after father had kicked the bucket, we've not only split apart but he became more stoic as a result. A boring outcome but what can I say? Its fun to tease~" With a nonchalant shrug, Kaeya turned around to fetch a drink for himself. first the empty glass than scooping and pooring wine into his empty glass and until it was as full as he wished.
Just hearing that their father had died caused Y/N's heart to ache. A hand now to her chest with eyes filled with empathy. It was no wonder the two seem distant and hateful towarda one another. Than again she was still unaware of the cause. The cause for all the tension.
"I don't get it thought... why would It cause so much tension?" A question that was of random impulde slipled right out.
Kaeya stopped his motions, turning his head towards her. "Ah, ah, ah~ Prying too far could end in terrible consequences." He cooed playfully, brushing off her question with ease.
She pouted. "Yeah but-"
"Go on, drink up. Wouldn't want it to get warm before you could get a taste." He raised his glass to her, a wink to soon follow.
She pouted to herself, disatisfied with the results. She was still as curious about it as ever.
A man dressed in black and sporting eyes that expressed a deep loneliness. Inside was a heart that was cracking and breaking. He looked so strong, yet on the inside may seem slightly different. She raised her shoulders. He did not seem all that bad so why did Kaeya hate him? That question lingered in her mind. A sigh fell from her lips. "Yeah yeah." She waved in dismissal and sipped on the loves poem that was absolutely delicious! It was if heaven was mixed in with the nice taste of Milk, Tea, and Caramel. It was a perfect blend. A beverage placed there for those who can't or just won't drink alcoholic beverages. She fell into that category. She could drink it, but she was not fond of it either.
"So about this Diluc... Just what is he? I mean he looks like a nobelman but I could be wrong."
She started off, wanting to figure out about this crimson mystery of a man.
