CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN:
STARK'S NOT CRAZY

THEY DROPPED STEVE OFF AT Helen's building, watching from the jet as he climbed onto the roof. Olivia stood behind Natasha and Clint's seat with Clint being the one to drive the jet. They listened as Steve gave them a two minute warning before telling them to stay close. He ran inside the building and Olivia stared boredly out the window. She impatiently waited for Steve to get back, silently wishing she had agreed to go with Banner and Fury back to the compound so that she could check on her daughters. The brunette sighed and walked away from the front, deciding to pace impatiently in the back.

The sound of Steve's voice fell over the coms, letting them know he'd found Helen Cho.  They could hear the doctor breathing heavily and immediately Olivia knew something bad had happened. She made her way back up to the front, exchanging a look with Natasha as they listened as Helen's voice fell over the coms. "He's uploading himself into the body."

     "Where?" Steve asked.

"The real power is inside the cradle. The gem, its power is uncontainable. You can't just blow it up. You have to get the cradle to Stark."

"First, I have to find it." Steve answered. A few moments later he was talking to the trio. "Did you guys copy that?"

     "We did," Clint nodded.

Natasha, who was now standing, had her eyes focus on one of the screens inside of the jet. "I got a private jet taking off across town. No manifest. That could be him."

"There." Clint grabbed their attention, his eyes focused on a truck that was going down the highway below them. "It's a truck from the lab. Right above you, Cap. On the loop by the bridge." A scan came up of the truck and Olivia nodded her head.

"It's them. You got three with the cradle, one in the cab."

"I could take out the driver." Clint tried, but Steve immediately disregarded this.

"Negative. That truck crashes, the gem could level the city."

     "There's always consequences." Olivia muttered.

"We need to draw out Ultron." Steve continued. Steve landed on the top of the truck, dangling at the doors before Ultron shot a blast at him, sending the doors scraping along the highway. "Well, he's definitely unhappy. I'm gonna try and keep him that way."

"You're not a match for him, Cap."

     Steve sighed. "Thanks, Barton."

"Don't worry, Steve." Olivia breathed. "I'll be there to help you in a minute."

Natasha snapped her head towards Olivia. "You will?"

Olivia shrugged. "Nat, I have teeth and claws that can penetrate Ultron's skin. I'll be fine."
