"Emma are you sad you're dad left you?" Taunted Bethany the most popular girl in middle school who just LOVES to make fun of me. "Maybe it's because your face looks like a giant pizza, all full of acne!"She screeched again. The entire grade cracked up like she'd just cracked the funniest joke ever. Ugh I'm so sick of that stupid girl. I'm in 8th grade now and she has been torturing me like this since 6th grade. Its like I'm her personal punching bag. I'm all alone in this world. sometimes I just feel like ending my life...

"Emma honey are you ready to go to swimming?" my mom yelled from the basement as she found a bathing suit for me to wear. "NO mom I don't want to go to swimming!" I yelled back mainly because Bethany is on my swim team (no surprise there 😣) and will make fun of my one piece bathing suit WHILE laughing at how I can't dive. "Emma I'm not going to argue with you about this we are going to swim practice!" My mom says, finally coming up the stairs with my cringe-worthy orange one-piece bathing suit. Ick. My mom won't let me buy a bikini because she says I'm "too young." "Now get in the car Emma!" My mom says.

At swim practice our coach John was doing a review on diving, which, as you know I cannot do and John knows it. "Emma come up and demonstrate how to dive for the newer kids." He says, grinning at me. Well here goes nothing, I thought. I got to scared to dive, so ended up doing an awkward belly-flop into the water. I slowly pull myself out of the water, then go sit by myself and watch the other kids dive. I see Bethany whispering something to her equally as pretty friend Bella. (your name has to start with a B to be in the squad.) she was probably saying something like I looked like a dying whale when I jumped into the water.

"Mom can I quit the swim team please?" I begged desperately. "Absolutely not Dear." My mom sighed. "Look Emma, I'm still trying to get over your father so can you please not bug me?
