It was very surprising for everyone when Jafar sat everyone down at a meeting. Everyone. Yamuriaha, Sharrkan, Hinahoho, Mystras, Pisti, Masur, Sinbad, Alibaba, Morgiana and of course, Aladdin. At first, Sinbad didn't know why, and was confused. By the end of the meeting, he was shocked, but moreover, a little upset at Jafar and himself...

...

"What's going on Jafar?" Sharrkan asked, feet hanging off the table. Jafar sighed, and instead of taking a seat next to Sinbad, he went over to the trio of kids and placed his hand over Aladdin's shoulders.

"I will train Aladdin." Is all he said, and everyone's jaws dropped to the floor. Sinbad stood up from his seat in a shock.

"Why? I mean, I know you're skilled, but Aladdin's a magi, Jafar." He asked. Yamuriaha suddenly gasped, standing up as well, and started speaking before Jafar had the chance to.

"Sin, do you remember those rumors about a 5th magi?" She questioned.

"The ones that you claimed were false?"

"Because science couldn't prove to there to be another magi! Their magoi would have to be on par with Judar's if they were to exist! But..."

"But what?" Before Yam could say anything more, Jafar cut her off, giving her a small glare but smiled nonetheless.

"But it is possible for their to be another magi. Aladdin isn't the 4th magi, he's the 5th. I'm the 3rd." Everyone just stared at the silver haired advisor, eyes wide, jaws dropped, minds racing. Sinbad was the first to speak up.

"Wait wait wait- you're telling me that the entire 15 years that I've known you, you were a magi, and you didn't tell me!?" He questioned, almost yelling the question. His mind was raking too fast. This shock put him down 10 more years...

"I guess I was good at keeping it hidden. I mean, you can't exactly tell who's a magi unless they outright show you or tell you. Magi's are just like normal people but with high powers." Jafar explained, opening and closing his palm. "For the past 15 years I've watched over you." He smiled sincerely, "I'm sorry I never told you. I had to keep low." Aladdin looked up at Jafar.

"Does Mr.Judar know you're a magi too?" He asked, and Jafar nodded, taking his hand off the boys shoulder and crossing his arms. "Is that why you two fight all the time?" Jafar blinked, clearly shocked by the question, but regained his composure quickly.

"Yes. If he is to take Sin he will corrupt him. He can corrupt any of you... I cannot let that happen." Is all he explained with before heading back to his seat. Sinbad had sat back down, looking weary. The advisor frowned a little, giving his king's hand a gentle squeeze. He squeezed back slightly.

And that ended the meeting.

...

For the next few days Sinbad had been avoiding Jafar as much as possible. Sure, he was excited his friend was a magi, but it just didn't seem real. His friend, for the past 15 years, had been a magi, and he hadn't even noticed. Sinbad was great at anything he did- so why was he so bad at reading people?

"My king, Jafar has requested you to come down to the courtyard." A servant called to Sin down the hall. The latter nodded and started following the servant down hallways to the courtyard, where Jafar and Aladdin were. Aladdin was holding out his wand-thingy, using the rukh to enhance his powers. Meanwhile, Jafar was standing beside him, giving a lesson of some sorts. He was holding a wilting flower.

"Rukh is life. Life is everywhere. You see it in yourself, in this flower and in any other being on this world. Yet, when life drains from something, their rukh is taken as well." He holds the wilting flower in front of Aladdin's wand. "Use the rukh to give the flower life again. Be gentle, if you give it too much it will die all over again." Aladdin nodded and Jafar set down the flower to walk over to Sinbad, leaving Aladdin with his assignment. "He's progressing fast. I can guess that he'll be strong enough to take on Alibaba in a one on one in a month." He explained, to which Sin nodded.

"That's great." Is all he said, and Jafar frowned. His eyes lowered to the ground.

"This new information has created a drift between us." He almost whispered, but Sinbad heard it loud and clear. He grabbed Jafar's shoulders hastily, but quickly recoiled.

"N-no! It- it has, but- sigh... Listen Jafar, you're still the same Jafar to me as before-"

"Then why have you been avoiding me? if I'm still your normal advisor then why?" Sinbad shivered. He was getting backed up into a corner.

"Because it's a shock. I looked through your memories and I didn't hear anything once about you being a magi." Jafar hummed at that response.

"Sham Lash didn't have knowledge of who was what. They just pared us in groups of the strongest. It's no wonder you didn't hear it in my memories." Ah, that made more sense.

"Then how come you are so sure you're a mag-" before Sin could finish the sentence, a large tree, growing fast, arose from the ground. Jafar turned around, seeing that the problem was Aladdin let off too much rukh and blasted it at a nearby tree. He frowned, throwing his hand up and Sinbad could see rukh slowly come out of the tree as it shrunk back to normal size. Jafar turned back to Sin, letting the rukh fly back to it's space.

"Try again!" He called to Aladdin, who gave a "thanks, will do," back. Now Jafar had Sinbad convinced. "Any other questions?" The advisor asked, a gentle smile growing on his face.

"What's the thing with you and Judar? I know we all hate the guy but you hate him on a higher level than I'd be comfortable with..." Jafar laughed out loud at the question, patting Sinbad on the shoulder.

"That's a story for another day. Now if you excuse me, I have to get back to mentoring. Come get me if you need anything, alright?"

A story for another day...?

Odd.
