A few nights ago I woke up at 3 A.M. cold and shivering. My fan was blowing frigid air directly on my naked exposed skin. I reached to the side of my bed desperately, hoping my blanket was there, but it wasn't. Slightly irritated, I sat up and scooted to the foot of my bed and found my blanket on the floor. I jumped back into my huge bed and adjusted myself and quickly fell back asleep.

I was awoken shortly after 3:30 A.M. again shivering and freezing cold. I had lost my blanket again. I frustratingly reached to the side of my bed. My blanket was not there. I swung around to the foot of my bed and reached to the floor. Not feeling anything I rolled over to the floor and found nothing. I was pretty agitated at this moment. I had to be up for work at 7 A.M. and just wanted to get a solid night's sleep. I rolled back to my usual side of the bed and turned on my bedside light. I looked around my bed for my blanket. It was on the complete other side of my room. "Are you kidding me?" I mumbled and got out of bed to go get my blanket. I jumped back in bed and tried to think of how my blanket could have ended up across the room. Living alone had left me with only an idea or two of how it possibly happened, but I was snack asleep in a flash.

Just like that, I was absolutely freezing and pissed off. I looked at the clock. It's 4:12 A.M. and I was again without a blanket. I turned on my light and got out of bed immediately. I looked around my bed and around my room and could see no blanket. My confusion and anger slowly turned to an anxious fear. I got down on the ground and peered under my king size bed. I couldn't see anything so I reached my arm under there. I felt nothing but a few socks and maybe a pair of underwear. I sat back and started to panic. Was I sleepwalking? Why was this happening to me? My brain was racing trying to shed some light on what was happening to me. There had to be some explanation to this.

I opened my bedroom door and walked down my dark hallway to my linen closet. Shivering and afraid of my possible new sleepwalking habit, I tried to remain as calm as possible. I opened my linen closet. There were no blankets. I knew for a fact that I had at least three in there neatly folded up the last time I had looked in there. I flipped on my hallway light to double check. I was right. There was not one blanket. An eerie feeling crept it's way all the way down my spine. What the hell was going on? I walked to my kitchen and got a glass of water. I pondered for a second as I quickly downed most of the water. Then it hit me. 'My bathroom!' I thought. I must have left my blanket there. It's the only place I had not looked yet and it made perfect sense. I walked quickly down my hallway and went back into my room where, for some reason, the light had been turned off. The light from the hallway crept in my room as I opened the door. It illuminated my room just enough to see the horror. My blanket was on my bed, and it was wrapped around someone.
