The Beginning of Everything

Chapter 5

She got out of her bed and stared at herself in the mirror. Tears rolled down her cheeks. She got dressed and ready for school. She was coming down the steps to see her mom crying on the couch. She asked "mom what's wrong?" Her mom answered back "just knowing that we lost someone yesterday. It hurts sweety it really does." Isabel said "well yeah it hurts. It's not something to be happy about." Her mom just looks at her. Isabel says "sorry I just wanted to brighten up your mood" then looks down. Isabel starts to go to the kitchen for something quick to grab and head to school. As she heading out the door her mom says "have a nice a day at school. If you need anything or wanna come home just text me okay?" Isabel smiles and says "of course mom." Isabel walks to school everyday. That day she saw in a distance that Zack was also walking to school. She yelled "hey Zack wait up!" Zack looked back and smiled. He stopped and waited for Isabel to catch up. When she finally catches up to him he hugs her and says "good morning you look beautiful today." Isabel smiles and blushes a little. She answers back "good morning to you also and thank you. " Zack asked "did you sleep well?" Isabel instantly looked down as a tear fell from her cheek and said "I'm afraid not. When I got home I got terrible news and wasn't able to sleep that well." Zack stopped and asked "well what happened? " Isabel looks up at him and says "well my grandma died yesterday" Zack hugs Isabel and says "I'm so sorry for you loss. I hope I can make you happy today so you're not in the blues."
