Chapter 2
I'm sitting at my desk looking over some case studies and I feel the electricity as Daniel walks into the room. I always know when he is near me, the hairs on my arms stand up and I get that feeling in the pit of my stomach. I can NEVER get enough of this man...
His touch is enough for my breath to quicken. He runs his hands over my shoulders and lowers the straps of my tank top and places small kisses along my neck and around my jawline.
I lean my head to the left to give him more of me to access. As his lips caress my neck his hand skillfully undoes my bra and he takes each of my breasts in his hands, kneading and pinching my nipples until they are erect, hard buds.
I can feel Daniel's arousal pressing into my back.
After all these years, we still can't get enough of each other.
Daniel picks me up and takes me to our bed placing me on top of the blankets. For some reason, I can't see Daniels face but I feel his kisses all over my body as he removes my clothes.
As I lean down and reach for his head, he looks up at me and I start to scream, one side of Daniels beautiful face is missing!!!!!!!!
I wake with perspiration running down my face and Ava shaking me by the shoulders.
"Mum! Wake Up" she is yelling at me.
"Oh my god" I scream and the tears start to flow.
Ava takes me in her arms and I let her console me. It should be me consoling her but I am so drained. I wish I could of died with Daniel that day....
"Was it the same dream?" she asks with concern in her eyes.
"Yes" I say quietly. The dreams started 3 weeks after the accident. it switches from Daniel's face missing to just his torso touching me.
In the beginning of the dream it feels so real, him touching me, kissing me and its just how I remember only then, I see what he looked like in the morgue.
Daniel was wearing a helmet the day of the accident but the force of the impact split his helmet down the middle and it took half of this head with it. The funeral parlor tried their best to put it all back together but it just didn't look right.
Daniel was an extremely good-looking man. 6'3", a muscle bound tattooed hunk with his long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes and I learned early in our relationship that I would always be fending off other women, however I took solace in the fact that I was the only one he wanted and the feeling was mutual. I never wanted or needed anyone other than Daniel.
Our life together was perfect. Daniel had ridden motorcycles all his life and after the kids were born, he finally bought his first Harley Davidson. We raised our children together and Daniel supported me when I was accepted into uni to study law. He was so proud.
