It was a Monday morning and Seokjin arrived in his office ten minutes before 8:00 am. The employees are preparing to start their tasks.

Today was different though.

He couldn’t find his trusted secretary and his best friend, Taehyung.

Taehyung wasn’t in his desk like he normally was. Usually, Taehyung arrives earlier than him but now he isn’t at the office yet. He wonders where he is now.

Seokjin opens his computer to read his pending emails when an excited Taehyung breezed into his office.  He holds a small box wrapped in silver paper that is slightly torn which means he knew what’s inside. Today, he was looking particularly resplendent in his black suit.

“Hyung, you don’t need to buy this for me. My handy planner does the work for me.” Taehyung said but his glittery eyes are still staring at the gadget.

“You are still an old soul, Taehyung-ah. You can save your time if you used the tablet. You can send me an email wherever you are. You don’t need to write down on your sticky notes and…” Seokjin is interrupted with Taehyung’s cranky expression.

“So are you telling me that you hate my bear notes?” Taehyung’s brows furrowed with lips pouted and crossed his arms.

“No, it’s not like that. It’s just that the tab is more convenient for you to use.” Seokjin smiles, fondness dripping from his gaze. He knew that Taehyung is a very efficient secretary with or without advanced technology.

“So you love my bear notes?” Taehyung flashed his boxy smile and flutters his eyelashes.

Seokjin’s heart melts. He is leaning his chin on his intertwined hands which are propped on the table.

“Of course. They helped me a lot.” Seokjin smiled and averted his gaze. He puts on his glasses. It sits perfectly on the bridge of his nose. He sits on his swivel chair and tried to open the folders on his table. As usual, a bear sticky note is on the top of the folder.

“This is good.” These are the words that Taehyung wrote on the sticky note. He has a cute handwriting and it always warms his day.

Taehyung puts the tablet aside and went to Seokjin’s side.

“Oh, that’s the proposal from Jung Company. They want to invest in our Gangnam branch. I already read the terms and conditions. It’s good. I think you should approve it.” Taehyung is back to being his professional secretary.

“I’ll read this later and I’ll tell you when to set an appointment.” Seokjin closed the folder and kept the folder in his priority files.

“I already talked to Mr. Jung. He is very polite. He is a funny guy. He is handsome too.” Taehyung couldn’t hide his admiration to the young investor.

“So, you already liked him?” Seokjin asked him.

“Mr. Hoseok is a nice guy. I think everybody likes him.” Taehyung went to the adjacent pantry to get their drinks.
