The favor scene

Stampede scene (Odette and Derek)

Horses charged down the hill towards Odette and when she saw them she ran as fast as her legs could carry her. She found a tree she could grab on to for support.

"Look Derek, the horses are out and about." Puffin said.

"How odd." Derek said looking skeptically at the horses.

"Derek come with me to the plains." Rothbart said.

"Why should I?" Derek asked.

"Because Odette's there." Rothbart answered.

"Odette?! What's happened to her." Derek asked fearing for the life of the one he loves.

"Come with me and I'll show you." Rothbart said before running and Derek ran along behind.

They ran to the plains where Odette was hanging on to a tree.

"Puffin! Please, help me!" Odette exclaimed, her grip loosening.

"Derek is on the way! The Calvary is coming!" Puffin exclaimed.

"Please hurry!" Odette exclaimed.

"Derek! There on that tree!" Puffin exclaimed.

"Hold on Odette!!" Derek exclaimed. The branch snapped and almost sent Odette falling to the ground. She screamed. Derek raced to her aid and she fell. Derek caught her and carried  her to the mountain and gently placed her on the cliff safely before he got swept away by the horses. Odette gasped.

"Derek!!" Odette called looking around for Derek. Odette was greatly relieved when she saw he was climbing up the cliff. She climbed up herself to meet them at the top but by the time Derek reached the top of the cliff he lost his balance and his hands were losing their grip.

"Rothbart." Derek said. "Rothbart, who was at the top of the cliff just looked down with a placid expression on his face.

"I can handle this."Rothbart grabbed Derek's hand and looked into his eyes.

"Long, live, the little prince." Rothbart said before he flung Derek off the cliff. Derek fell and plummeted to the bottom as Odette watched and screamed in horror.

Odette ran to the bottom to find Derek.

"Derek!!" Odette called. "Derek!! My darling!" Odette turned and saw Derek lying lifeless on the ground below the tree Odette was hanging on to moments earlier. She rushed to his side and gently shook him.

"Derek." Odette said. "Please wake up." Odette shook him harder.

"Derek!!" Odette exclaimed, trying to wake him but to no avail. It was only then Odette realized Derek was dead and was gone.

"N-no." Odette said. "Derek, p-please no." Odette began to sob as she cradled Derek in her arms.

"What have you done Odette?!" Rothbart asked in fake horror at what just happened.

"This was NOT my doing!" Odette exclaimed. "YOU did this!"

"I've done nothing it's you're fault for being so careless as to put yourself in the way of a hoard of horses." Rothbart said.

"YOU KILLED THE ONE I LOVE!!" Odette exclaimed. "He was my better half."

"A better half you let die." Rothbart said.

"I KNOW you killed him!' You creature!!" Odette exclaimed.

"One day you will pay for this!" Odette shouted before running off into the distance.
