"Ying! Ying!" I turned to see who was calling me from the other side of the hallway. It was Mei. No. It was Mei and her best friends this time.
"Hey! What is it?" I replied with a smile as I walked towards the door of the classroom they were staying in.
After that chaotic P.E class the other day, I heard they made a 'math athletes club' or whatever that was. It was believable since Mei has a place in her heart for math, so she definitely convinced her best friends to do it with her.
"Can we talk for a sec?" Miriam asked with a nervous grin as she played with her nails.
"We are talking right now though," I answered doubtfully as I raised a brow, hugging my books tighter.
"No, like, inside the room," She corrected and opened the door, motioning for me to go inside.
I peeked inside the room before nodding slowly and making my way inside, "Woah."
The room didn't look like it had something to do with Math at all.
There was a huge white cloth that covered the blackboard and a projector on a table a few steps away from it. The other side of the room had a big flag of Canada. A big whiteboard sat on another table near the projector. There was a red panda with a long tail drawn on it and the tail had lines for some reason. There were also some tall lights that they use for photo shooting or whatever that was.
I'm too tired to think right now.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" I asked with a quiet sigh, not bothering to confront them about how the entire classroom looked so different than it should be.
"Can you promise me first that you won't freak out?" Mei said shakily as she hid her hands behind her, giving me a sheepish smile. Is she going to tell me about her panda?
"Okay. I promise," I simply replied while glancing around the room, still in awe.
POOF!
This is it. I looked in front of me to see a big red panda covered in pink smoke, which was Mei obviously. She was leaning towards me with her hands facing me, probably to stop me from screaming my lungs out or something.
I gave her an excited grin, my eyes gleaming in happiness, "Oh my Gosh! I've been waiting for this for so long!"
"Waiting?" They all asked in unison and looked at me with confusion, Priya eyeing me like I was a murderer or something. Oh right, I haven't told them about my panda. Silly me.
"Actually-" I was interrupted by my phone buzzing like crazy. I picked it up and seeing it was the pizza store manager made me panic.
"Oh no! I'm so sorry guys, maybe we could talk next time! I really need to go!" I said nervously as I faced the door, ready to run out at full speed.
"O-okay. Just promise me you won't tell anyone!" Mei pleaded before turning back to her normal form.
"Of course!" I smiled at them before running out of the room at my maximum speed. I can't believe I literally just forgot about work!

"WHAT?! W-why?!" I asked as I read the paper that the pizza store manager gave me, panicking by the news he recently told me. "I-I didn't do anything wrong! And this was the first time I got late."
"I know, Ying," He said quietly as he placed mountains of paper inside a big box, "That's not the problem."
"Then what is?!" I shouted angrily, quickly covering my mouth after I realized I literally just shouted at the person who gave me a job, "I-I'm sorry, Sir."
