(Hannibal POV)

I sat at my desk in my office, scrawling mildly homosexual drawings on loose pieces of paper I had found lying around. Just then, Will Graham bust through my door.

I jerked my head up from my art, discretely flipping the page over to conceal my sins.

"Will. You're here early." I remarked, getting up from my rolling chair.

"Jack is spreading things about us," Will said as he sat down in one of the empty chairs in the office.

I sat down across from him, crossing my legs. "What has he been saying?" I questioned.

Will avoided eye contact with me, his face growing slightly red. "He... He's been telling people we've been sleeping together."

I felt my face heat up and cleared my throat. "He has no proof," I replied.

"People are believing him, though. We have to do something, Doctor Lecter." Will said anxiously.

"What did you have in mind?" I asked, leaning forward.

Will's face turned redder as his eyes met mine. "I could get a girlfriend. Temporarily." He suggested.

I raised an eyebrow. "How?"

"Well... Ms Bloom seems to be... Quite fond of me. Maybe I could court her in some way. Plus, she's not all that bad looking..." Will said.

I subsided, leaning back in my chair. I folded my hands neatly in my lap.

"That sounds like it could work. Would you mind checking in once every week just to let me know how it's going? I don't see you that often, Will." I said.

Will nodded. "Not at all. I'd also like to be able to talk more often with you as well."

We stared at each other for a few more seconds before Will got up.

"I'll let you know how it goes. Goodbye, Doctor Lecter." Will turned to leave.

"I expect to see you soon, Will. Have a nice day." I smiled.

Will waved as he walked through the door, leaving me in solitude. I sighed, walking back over to my desk. I sat down, flipping my drawing back over and went back to doing my art.

(Will POV)

I sat across from Alana at the four star restaurant. I fidgeted wth my hands nervously, evading eye contact.

"So, Will. You invited me out, but you're not going to talk to me?" Alana teased.

I raised my gaze to look at her. "Oh. Sorry, I'm just.. I'm nervous."

Alana smiled warmly. "It's alright. Do you go on dates very often?" She asked.

"No.. I don't." I replied.

"I never would have guessed." Alana joked. I gave her a small smile in return.

"So. Why are you really taking me out?" She questioned, staring at me from across the table.

I looked away. "Can I not go on a date with someone I like?"

"It's just suspicious that you're doing all of this right when Jack's rumors are getting traction." Alana answered.

I paused. "Look, it's just a coincidence. I don't know why Jack's saying stuff..."

"Well, to me it feels like you've been hanging around Hannibal more often than usual. Are you sure there isn't some truth in what Jack has been saying?" Alana interrogated.

The tips of my ears burned. "No. My relationship with Doctor Lecter is strictly professional." I said.

It was silent for the rest of the night. We ate our food, split the bill, then went home.

My dogs barked excitedly at me as I stepped through my front door. I greeted them, smiling.

As I got undressed for bed, I heard something coming from outside. I walked cautiously over to the front door and cracked it open, looking outside. Hannibal was on the porch, staring at me.
