Again

Chapter 4

Bruce POV

We take a long time to get home and (m/r) falls asleep. He was asleep and looked so tired but he was silent. After a little I stop the Batmobile and let him sleep a little longer. I look through files but soon I start driving to the manor again.

Once we got there I tried waking him up but he wouldn't wake up. Eventually I decided to just pick him up and take him to his room. When I got to his room I walk to his bed but he wouldn't let me go. I just lied in bed with him, as he clinger onto me.

(m/r) holds tightly and I stay there waiting but soon I fall asleep with him. When I wake up (m/r) was on the other side of bed so I walk to my room. I stay up and start getting clues to the Endless organization. Soon I get up and walk around the manor to collect my thoughts.

I find (m/r) taking his shirt off putting a different one on. While looking at him I notice marks and scars along with things like that. "What did they do to you?" They turn to look at me, their face was afraid that I saw.

"These old things, I don't remember sorry. Why do you ask?" They look at me questionably but ignore the fact of knowing. They smile keep a straight face, but their eyes looked dark. Soon he looked away from me and stared at the floor, his face scrunched up.

He puts his shirt on and puts a jacket on walking out the door. I hear the door slam closed and then a motorcycle going off. (m/r) seemed to be sad, I'm just going to let him be. After I while I went to look for someone named Charlie Cause.

While looking through his window I saw him walk in with someone. They started to talk but then we're yelling at each other. I get closer and start hearing the conversation more clearly. "I just need to have some, it's not that hard (m/r).

Give it to me or else I'll tell her and you'll be in trouble." Then they go silent and Charlie gets closer to (m/r) grabbing his collar. "Give it to me or else!" But he stays silent and looks up at him, "I don't have to do shit for you.

I know that you knew what happened to me. You turned me into a monster, I was just a lab rat to you." (m/r) pushes him and walks out but Charlie grabs him. Then he punches him a few times, (m/r) doesn't even try to stop him.

(m/r) grabs his arm and stops him walking out the door. I jump and land in a alleyway, (m/r) was standing there. "I knew you were there, your welcome take it." He throws me a chip, and then walks to the motorcycle behind the dumpster.

But I stop him and grab his arm making him turn to me. "Let me go Bats." (m/r) says in a stern voice I don't let go though. I walk to the motorcycle and sit on it making him sit on it as well. We start riding back home but I take a turn making us go somewhere in the manor.

When we get there I stop and I grab him making him almost fall. But I catch him and he stands up properly looking at me questionably. I throw a punch at him and he dodges it but I throw another. Then we keep doing that and I take my mask off.

"Throw a punch at me (m/r), we will train." (m/r) stares at me then looks to the floor but then throws a fast punch. Then we keep punching at each other but block or dodge them. Eventually we stop and walk inside to eat some dinner.

"I can go without eating you know?" (m/r) nods his head stirring the soup and puts the top on it. "You know I can't have you dying from starvation that'll be bad for both of us." He smiles laughing a little and we sit at the table after he set the table.

Timeskip

We start training everyday morning till noon. He starts getting more serious about helping people. Then Alfred came back and we explained what has happened. Once Alfred understood he helped us both fix the city.

    As we work the people start to except (m/r) as a new vigilante. Then we got the proper armor when fighting against others. Gotham was still crime ridden but some are trying to help now. Gotham has a chance at being good but for now it's still has high crime levels.

    We took down the organization and we buried his daughter. That day he never cried but swore to protect Gotham and others who needed it. He knows that it's impossible to protect everyone but he wants to try. The date is October 18 2017 and I've just come home.

    (m/r) was on the ground, blood everywhere, and I couldn't find Alfred. I check if (m/r) is alive even if I have the slightest chance. "BOOOOOOOOO!!!!" He yells in my face, I slap him by accident by reflex. "Ouch that was mean, it was just to scare you for Halloween."

    "Don't do that again." (m/r) smiles at me and stands up nodding his head. "I'm gonna get this cleaned up then." He goes upstairs and I walk upstairs to get a couple files.

Timeskip

    "Hey, um I got a new job but they want me to work in a different state. Should I accept the job Bruce?" As (m/r) tells me this I start to think about what might happen. He could be happier if he did and it would be better for him.  "Sure if it makes you happy, it would probably go well anyways."

    (m/r) smiles and nods his head then runs upstairs with a smile on his face. A few weeks pass and he was getting rid of his stuff. Then he comes downstairs with some bags. "I'm gonna be there for about 2 years, see you then Bruce."

(m/r) POV

    I wait for something but it never came, more like someone. When Bruce said it was fine to leave, I honestly hoped he would disagree. But when he didn't, I lost some hope and just went along with it. Bruce and I stayed in contact but we barely ever talked.

    After the 2 years I decided that I should just keep working and Bruce asked sometimes about it. The 2 years were so lonely but I was a little happy but not much. I waited for him to come get me for a year but he never did. Soon I found out about the Riddler and kept in contact with him.

    When the case was over I had decided I should come over to comfort him. So I didn't wait and I went to him to talk with him. Alfred also called me to help Bruce while he was in the hospital. But when I got there Bruce wasn't there so I went to my room.

    Once I got there I start cleaning all the rooms, floors, and windows. When I finished I went to my room and went on the computer. Then while I was going through it I found out I could see through his suit. He must've installed a camera into his suit, it was probably old camera footage.

    I go through it to completely 'delete' it but then come across something. My heart starts to shatter into pieces when I see it. Bruce was kissing someone and I make the deletion go faster. I stand up and put my suit on walking to the door to leave.

    When I open the door I leave and go to the city. After walking around the city I buy some stuff and go back to the manor to just lay around. When I got there the door was locked so, I went in through the window. I start walking to the stairs but heard a thump behind me.

Then I felt hands grab me and slam me to the floor. "HEY! Leave me alone I just got home I'm tired!" Then Bruce stops and turns a flashlight on and sees that it was me. "Why are you here I thought you were still working?"

"I came back I called you Bruce, didn't you see it." He stays silent but I stand up and smile seeing him. "Well I cleaned the rooms, floors, and the windows, I'm going to bed now." After saying that I walked to my room not looking back at Bruce.
