Chapter 1 - Like a bullet through a flock of doves

Hi!! I took a break from writing, but I kind of wanted to start a new one right now. If you know me irl I've been currently obsessing over Mikey Way. ._. so ofc, here's a Mikey fic. It'll start out with Gerard though. I'm taking a break from my other ones, anyways, I'll stop babbling.
wait no I lied ok- my Wattpad is adding stories that I didn't add myself and it's really uncomfortable, I think the update stopped it but I'm not even a fan of most of these things omfg.

~Natalie's POV~

My eyes snapped open as the alarm clock blared uncomfortably across the room, it wasn't even supposed to go off on weekends but I got up anyways.

The first thing I did was check my phone, and the most noticeable thing was a text notification.

Gerard:
'Hey, I know it's hella early, but do you think we can do something today?'
6:14 AM.

Damn, I can't even get up that early. It was 7:45 AM at the time, and I replied.

'Yeah, anything in particular you had in mind¿'

I shut my phone off and yawned, and I forced myself out of bed and got myself breakfast.

I've known Gerard for about a year and a half, and I didn't like him at first. In fact, I hated him. Strong word, but that's why I used it.

Of course things have changed, and I've even dated him - but he was just a better friend than he was a boyfriend. No one even brought on the breakup, we just decided it was best.

But now he's my best friend again, and I trust him more than anyone.

My phone went off.

Gerard:
'No, not really. How about you come over? You haven't been over in some time.'
A minute ago.

That was true, we only went for coffee and stuff like that, but his house was nice and I wouldn't mind spending some time there.

Again - we are not dating. Nothing is going to happen there. Nothing.

I replied,
'Okay! Is it alright if I'm over there around 12:00-12:30?'

I forced breakfast down and sighed, checking my phone. I guess I missed his message like 3 minutes ago.

Gerard:
'That's perfectly fine. See you then'

I sighed again and set my phone down, there was really nothing to do until then. I just figured I'd go back to sleep.

I went back in my room and set the alarm for 11:45, that should give me enough time.

I threw myself on the bed and in a matter of minutes, I fell asleep.
