The army continued until they reached the city where they were welcomed with open arms.

"Richmond told us you were coming. Please enjoy some food and rest."

"Thank you. It will be greatly appreciated."

"So, Commander Toddy, what are your plans for taking back our country?"

"First, we are taking Washington back."

"Do you need anything?"

"Supplies, and men, if you can spare any."

"I will see what I can do. You must be exhausted, please come and eat."

The man led Toddy outside.

"It's very quiet," Toddy noticed.

"Yes, without the chatter of our children, most of the noise is gone," he said sadly.

"Why are they all quiet?"

"They are gone. We are one of the towns that were robbed of our children."

"They took them all?"

"Yes, we haven't seen them in a long time."

"Are they alive?"

"I don't know. They took all the children to one location. I don't think they are hurt, but I honestly don't know."

"Where are they?"

"Underground, somewhere in Washington, I think."

Anger flared in Toddy. He knew he would get the kids out. He just hoped they were okay. He knew that some kids had been taken; but how many, from where, and to where were questions still unanswered. He thought of the poor kids. He knew how sadistic his enemy was. He doubted that they were any easier on the children. These thoughts brought tears to his eyes.

Early the next morning, the men were ready to go. Toddy numbered everyone, and they headed for Washington. They marched and marched for miles. Soon, thousands of soldiers came into view. For a split second, fear gripped the hearts of all the Americans.

"So, what's the game plan, Toddy?" Oliver asked.

"Fight," Toddy answered emotionlessly.

"Sir, we don't have enough grenades to do any significant damage, but we will do what we can," Craig promised.

"I don't care what we do, as long as we win. We have to get the children back."

"What are your orders?"

"Craig, get your men and the grenades. Frank, get the long range guns. Everyone else load up whatever is left."

When everyone was ready, Toddy took a deep breath.

"Charge!"

They fired all they could before getting in range of the enemies guns. Both sides fought hard and bravely, but it was the Americans that walked the streets in victory.

When they reached the center of the city, Toddy brought the communist leader before him. After calling the entire city to watch, Toddy killed the monster as all the people cheered. Toddy called for a couple of the younger soldiers.

"I want you to get this message across America. I Toddy, leader of the American army am now leader of all America. I will not rest until all the Communists are out of our home!"

The young men saluted and ran off.

"Toddy!" Craig called, "We found a tunnel leading from the white house."
