NIKI POV;

"You walking to school?", Jungwon asks

"Oh, yeah. I usually take the bus but today I felt like walking."

He smiles and nods then us talking turned into an awkward silence, where nobody decided to say a word. What if it was just a comfortable silence and not awkward? I can't tell the difference. We walked together to school for 13 whole minutes in complete silence, doesn't that sound fun? (a/n; if this ever happened to me, I'd do a back flip off a car)

Once we got to school, my hyung, sunoo approached me and the new person I met, jungwon. He bowed at him then grabbed me quickly, dragging me away. I could barely walk.

"Ni-Ki, what are you doing with him?!"

"H-huh?", I stammer out

"You know he also likes Heeseung?"

I felt the like the ground was falling from under me. He liked Heeseung? What if Heeseung liked him back? Would I even have a chance with him? I felt a knot forming in my throat. Sunoo was going to speak again but I walked off before he could say anything.

I rushed to the bathroom and sat there crying until class started. I was devastated. Heeseung and Jungwon always hung out. Plus they were really touchy with each other, it's no way they weren't dating... I didn't hear the bell since my sobs were louder. After some time, I felt like I couldn't breathe. At this point, I didn't care. Everyone I like always likes someone else, dating someone else, or isn't interested in dating. Maybe I should just give up. I haven't even talked to him anyway.

"Hey, are you okay?", someone asks

I stopped my crying best as I can. My breathing was still a little unsteady.

"Uhm.", I managed to get out

"Uhm?"

"No, I'm not okay. I feel like shit."

"Why is that?", the person asks

"Well, my crush is probably dating someone else. I just feel like, I sound stupid. I know high school crushes don't matter but it hurts anyways."

"Yeah, I understand. Maybe mines too. "
"Well, I hope your crush likes you, random person"

The person laughs

"I hope it turns out well for you too"

"Thank you", I say sniffling and smiling.

I heard the person exit the bathroom and I came out the stall soon after. Who was that? Well, I'd find out eventually. I threw some water on my face and wiped my wet face with my hoodie sleeve. I should really get to class now

I got to class 20 minutes late. My teacher didn't even question why I was late, she just told me to sit down and start taking notes. On the other hand, Sunoo was concerned about me, I could tell. He kept staring at me and mouthed a 'what's wrong' every few seconds. I didn't say anything back though, I didn't want him to worry. High school crushes are meaningless, they literally mean nothing.

I sigh and try and focus in my first period
