i finally got home! it was such a long day and the first day of school wasn't that bad.
that guy at the mart was actually kind of cute but okay i should shut up now.
"hey mom!" you said, as you placed the bags on the kitchen table.
"sweetie! you didn't have to buy anything aren't you exhausted?" she said, kissing you on the forehead.
"mom.. i don't mind! plus, i really wanted a snack on the way back hope you don't mind!" you smiled and took out your favorite candy out of the bag.
"i knew it! you didn't eat again at school right y/n."
"mom, the school food is so gross.." you said as you made a nauseous face.
"i'll have to pack you lunch then every single day i don't want you starving and eating candy everyday!"
"okay okay mom i'm sorry.." you said as you ate your candy and went to your room.
you sighed and closed the door and decided to do your homework.
crazy right? homework on the first day of school too? your history teacher was the worst.
as you take out your textbook from your backpack you get a beep from your flip phone.
you picked up to see a message from an unknown number.
"hey<3"
this made your heart drop.
then you remembered it was the cute guy from the mart.
"omg.." you said as you did not know how to respond.
you looked at the phone again and looked away and looked at it again hesitantly.
"oh my gosh it's just a guy y/n!.."
"a cute..tall..guy.."
"why is this so hard?!" you put your hands on your hands on your face.
you waited a while to respond because you didn't want to look desperate.
"oh hey! devon, right? :)"
you sighed with relief and put your phone down but got a quick reply which made you jump.
"that fast?" you said.
"yes that's me the one and only :)"
"he's so cute.." you said in your head.
you texted devon back all night while doing your homework you didn't know if you even did it right but you still did it.
(time skip!)
it was morning and you put on your favorite overalls from all time.
"i'm so glad i found them!" you said as you looked at yourself in the mirror.
then you went to fix your hair to your favorite style.
"morning mom!" you cheerfully said as you came down the stairs.
"mornin' sweetie! did you sleep well? you didn't eat dinner..." she looked at you with a concerned look.
"mom i'm fine! i'll eat when i come back i don't really like breakfast anyway!" you said.
"okay, you better. but i made you lunch i better see an empty container when you come back." she gave you a cute bag with food inside.
"mom! this smells delicious!" you sniffed the air and kissed her on the cheek.
"anything for my little y/n."
"bye mom!" you smiled and waved as you head out the door to start your second day.
