When he let her go, she could swear she heard herself whimper. It shocked her, from just him letting her go, it could make her feel so cold.
"You can all stand." The Alpha's voice had returned to its usual sternness.
As the pack stood, Sirena remembered that they hadn't been alone. Shame and embarrassment filled her, her face turning red, she wanted to hide away in that moment. But to her surprise the pack all wore huge grins as they looked upon her. Even the she-wolves. Was it that big a deal to find your mate? she wondered.
"The snow-leopards that wish to join our pack and desert their own are welcome here, as you can see..." He looked between the Luna and his mate. "We are very accommodating; we do not discriminate." He fingers laced with Sirena's as he continued to speak. "And I will have a Snow-leopard as my Luna, but it won't be you." He added finally.
The skinny Luna snarled at Sirena, but she didn't flinch, she was too shocked with the Alpha's words. She looked up at him, wide eyed as if you say, are you sure about this?
You doubt me little wolf? He incurred in her mind.
Of course not! just... I'm not sure I'm Luna material... Sirena didn't know the first thing about running a pack.
"You would still let us in without merging the packs through this means?" The Luna inquired slightly shocked.
"Those that fight us will die, those that wish to run can, we will not pursue. But those that wish to join us, may do so free from fear of harm. BUT they must be willing to fight against their own." Tristan replied.
The Luna nodded. "I will inform the ones that wish to defer and send them your way with my blessing. They will bear my mark." She bowed low. "I will take my leave then."
One of the members of the pack lead her out as the gathering turned to a strategy meeting. The young ones were to remain at the den with the Beta and a few trained Omega's.
They suspected that the Leopards were planning to attack, while the Alpha was away in the village with the rest of the omegas and deltas.
Alpha then explained that he wanted Sirena to work closely with his beta's, they would pinpoint all the den locations of the Snow leopards. After the disturbance in the village was taken care of, they were to mount an offensive. The end goal, to end the feud between the clans, once and for all.
It didn't take long for the meeting to conclude and everyone to run off to prepare. This left Tristan and Sirena alone. He'd turned to her, taken a knee and held her hand in his.
"As much I want to take this time to mark you, it's a big ask of me to have you as my Luna." He looked up at her sincerely. "You also still have a lot to learn, so I am willing to wait until you're ready."
She felt her heart skip a beat. He was right, she had doubts about her own capabilities and allowing her this would put her at ease. She nodded not saying a word, nothing need be said at that moment as they both understood each other.
He stood and wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her close to him. She gasped as their bodies slammed into each other, he buried his head in her neck and breathed her in.
"I don't know how long I'll be away." He said as he nibbled on her collar bone.
She giggled as she tried to lightly push him off her. "You'll be back before you know it. I'll be waiting, after all you still have to train me." She reminded him. She shivered as he kissed her neck before pulling away.
"Indeed, I do." He had mischievous look in his eyes as he replied.
"You'll be okay, won't you?" She asked growing concerned.
"I'll have the pack with me, there's nothing to worry about." He cupped her face with his hands and gently kissed her on the forehead. Releasing her he went to move away.
She grabbed him in a small panic, when he looked back, she blushed. "Not there..." Her head was down, and her eyes glanced up at him, pleading with him.
That look, that almost sent him over the edge. He was barely keeping it together as it was, and he could hear Tai laughing in the back of his mind. He let out a low feral growl as he spun on his heels.
He slammed her against the wall with enough force to knock the wind out of her but not to harm her. His lips locking onto hers as his tongue invaded. He pressed his already hard body up against her, she groaned as she melted into his needy embrace.
He pulled back, she gasped for air as her body was beginning to go numb. Her limbs feeling like they wanted to liquefy. He was doing things to her she never knew were possible.
"You are a devilish woman." He breathed to her, his lips lingering only millimeters from hers. "Are you satisfied?"
She nodded unable to speak and this time when he stepped back, she let him go. After he'd left the room, she slid down the wall and sat for a while trying to regain her senses. Her head was spinning and her body was still alive as she trembled with desire.
You asked for that. Mia mocked with a laugh. She smiled, after all she had got what she wanted. She just hadn't expected it to be quiet so... intense.
Days pasted before they heard any word on the village, Sirena had been helping as best as she could around the pack. Many had taken to looking to her for direction, it was an odd feeling, but she didn't mind it in the end. She found that she relished in being able to be useful.
She mitigated the daily chores, made sure the young ones were eating and that training continued, hers included. Gail had been a huge help, when he was around that was, most of his days and nights were spent patrolling around the den.
A few Snow-leopards had come to join the pack, much like her they were hybrids. Sirena and Gail always greeted them and helped them adjust. The newcomers all seemed young, disconnected from the current Snow Leopard Alpha's ordeals, they didn't want a life of fighting. Leaving a pack wasn't an easy thing to do. They did sadly require Alpha Tristan to acknowledge them, releasing them from their previous Alpha's hold. So, for now they remained safe and hidden in their den, waiting for the Alpha to return, much like she was.
The new arrivals also helped with Sirena's mapping, confirming the locations of the snow leopard's pack. They were ready to strike as soon as the Alpha returned. But he hadn't for quite some time now. Sirena tried her best to bury herself in the pack's affairs, so she didn't have to stop, so she didn't worry or think the worst. Only a few times had it crossed her mind that the last time she had said goodbye to someone she cared about, it had been the last.
"Sirena!" Gail came bursting through the door. "Come quickly, he's back." The urgency and flat tone had her wondered.
Not asking anything she dropped what she was doing and followed him. Gail broke into a run and her stomach turned, something wasn't right, and the further they got form the den the more she could smell blood in the air... She tried not to let fear consume her.
A man and women were rushing towards them. They were covered in black tar like blood and in the man's arms was the Alpha. Not even blinking an eye she ran straight for him. The group collapsed tot he ground, her shaking hand cupping his face. He looked to be in great pain.
"What happened!?" She questioned.
The man who she assumed was Zero, the one the Alpha had spoken of, looked at her with sad eyes. "Demons found it fun to toy with the leopards, Tristan took it upon himself to stopped it, but at great cost... He's dying."
