Chapter Three "The Korean Dispatch"

Weeks after coming back to Seoul from his honeymoon, Choi Woong resumes his daily life, which seems to have not changed a lot since he got married... besides from one thing: he is now being harassed by the paparazzi and the press. Will the newlyweds be able to handle the pressure that is brought with the news of their recent marriage?... That's the biggest question Yeonsoo has...

August 14th, 2023... 7:30 p.m.

Jiwoong, Chaerang, Yeonsoo and I have decided to visit "The Class"; a new art gallery that just opened a few days ago in Itaewon. As we expected, the place is crowded, but the shots exposed on the walls are worth enduring whatever noise is around us. The photographs: they are a mix of contemporary and noir with a touch of 3D illusion and street art... very risky for a newcomer. The artist: Ma Hyun Yi; an amateur photographer who, same as this place, has just debuted recently. Apparently, she was already famous in social media and with the support of one of the biggest influencers in Korea, was selected to be the main "act" during opening week. Obviously, I know all of this because of my wife... there is no other way I would have known a single detail about influencers and all those things. I only knew about Artist Ma's style (as a photography lover, I should) but Yeonsoo, as always, made sure to fill us with all the information we needed to know about her, also newest, PR project. Her company's division was in charge of the entire event and as this is their biggest one yet, she was extremely excited about it, especially since "The Class" is owned by that big influencer and her worldwide famous company IC. I was told by my wife and her comrades that this is a big deal.

"Here" Yeonsoo loosens her grip on my arm and gives me her purse, turning around to address Jiwoong and his girlfriend "I will come back in a minute, feel free to see the entire exhibition. On the first floor you will find all of Artist Ma's recent works and in the second floor-"

"Honey" I have to interrupt her, this is her free day "You are not a guide tonight"

"Woongnie" She whispers, making me smile "I know. But I have always wanted to say it like that"

"Well, you never say it like that at my exhibitions..."

"I am your wife at your exhibitions, not a PR expert that you haven't taken the risk of hiring..."

"You are still my wife here" I kiss her on the cheek, she rolls her eyes. "You told me that you were coming as a visitor tonight, Yeonsoo-ya..."

"Yes, I remember" She makes us turn, putting her arm on my shoulder to apparently block Jiwoong's and Chaerang's view from what she is about to tell me: "But the owner wants to talk to me about some upcoming business" She sounds excited... even giggling like the cutest child "She is here with her husband and her daughter" Yeonsoo shows me her biggest smile "You know what that means?... I am about to expand my contact list with one of the best entrepreneurs in the country!"

She even jumps a little. I can do nothing else but feel as happy as she is. So, after giving her what I intend to be a warm hug, I encourage her to go and do what she has to do... "Good luck, bunny" a wink and a kiss seem appropriate, too.

And Yeonsoo goes, eager and vibrant, to meet her clients. Jiwoong looks at me, puzzled "Didn't she say that we shouldn't worry because she wasn't going to act as the publicist of this event but just another commoner?" He takes three glasses of white wine that one of the waiters offers and handles two of them; one for Chaerang and one for me. He rolls his eyes "She invites us and then leaves... always the same"

Chaerang laughs "Calm down, she is not going to get lost"

"I am not worried about her getting lost, she organized this. I am worried about us getting lost... this place is HUGE!"
