Its the next day and theyre getting ready to leave. Lilith in a pair of fitting khaki pants and a black fitting tank top. Her hair braided and boots on. Theyve double checked their bags and know they are ready. They leave and wait down stairs outside for their ride.
"Are you ready?" James asks.
"Yeah, just feels different because i have someone with me." She tells him as she looks to a black jeep pulling up. A man parks and gets out. Coming up to Lilith and giving her a big hug.
"Lilith and....company?" He asks looking to James.
"Jason this is James Conrad." Lilith tells him.
"The infamous James Conrad...wow...how did you afford him?" He asks chuckling. James looks to Lilith and they exchange a smirk and Jason feels the awkwardness in the air.
"A number, now...lets get this show on the road." Lilith says hopping in. James hops in the back.
"So Lilith...did you ever call my friend?" He asks driving off.
"Ha! No, thanks for trying but...no." she says laughing.
"Why? Hes a good man! He likes adventure as much as you do!" He tells her.
"Jason ive told you....When i find the right person ill let you know." She tells him.
"Well he doesnt have to be mister right. Women have needs too." He says chuckling.
"Oh god Jason, don't be gross." She says shaking her head.
"What even is your type?" Jason asks.
"Tall, handsome, blue eyes, loves adventure, respects women, respects my work." She tells him.
"Looking for a unicorn in a field of horses." She says chuckling. She looks back to James in the mirror. James smirks at her.
"Dont believe that! For all you know Mister Conrad could be that man!" He says looking back to him.
"So Jason, how close are we?" James asks.
"A few more minutes." Jason says.
"James, the tag on this shirt is scratching me. Can you cut it off?" She asks. Jason grabs a pocket knife and pulls her tank top open some and cuts it.
"Thank you."she says.
"No problem Darling." James says. Jason squints his eyes.
"So what time did you get in?" Jason asks.
"Yesterday." Lilith says.
"You stayed at that crummy hotel didnt you." He says chuckling.
"I did." She says.
"Its not very safe." Jason tells her.
"She was safe." James tells him.
"So Conrad, you know much about the kalanoro?" Jason asks.
"Actually I do, ive been interested in it for a while. One of the reasons i agreed to do this." He tells him.
"Helps to have a pretty partner too." Jason jokes.
"Jason if you dint zip it."- she says sighing.
"It does." James says looking to Lilith. Jason chuckles.
"Lilith is very bashful when it comes to compliments." Jason tells James.
"I am not." She says rolling down the window.
