you were sat on the couch eating some fruit as you were waiting on your girlfriend to get back from her late night practice.
you hear a set of keys, then the door open.
you look up from the tv a big smile appearing on your face as you get up ready to greet your girlfriend as usual.
"hi baby!" you say walking over to jennie going in for a kiss.
"hi." she says curving your kiss heading toward the kitchen.
you jerk your head back furrowing your brows together before brushing it off and going over to the kitchen.
"how was your day today?" you say grabbing a water from the fridge.
"it was fine! jeez. why are you so annoying with your annoying questions." she says groaning as she storms off into the living room.
"w-what? i asked one question jennie. one! you just have a bitchy attitude for no reason?"
"oh so now i'm a bitch?" she says dryly chuckling.
"i said bitchy attitude. but if the hair fits, then be my guest and wear it." you say rolling your eyes as you head upstairs to your shared room.
jennie rolls her eyes before dragging her feet up the steps.
"what is up with you?" she says in a judgmental tone.
"what's up with me?? what about you? i wait up for my lovely girlfriend to come back expecting to greet her with kisses and cuddles, but nope. i get called annoying for asking a question."
she chuckles, "okay." she says before going into the bathroom.
you chuckle in disbelief as you blink back your tears as you hear the shower turn.
you pondered in bed for a moment to wonder if you did anything to piss off jennie earlier but your mind was a complete blank page.
you shake your thoughts away as you turn off your bedside lamp, laying your head down on your pillow away from jennie side.
if she wanted to be a bitch, so could you.
you hear the door open, feeling the bed dip.
"(y/n)?" jennie whispers unsure if your awake or just on your way to dream land.
after seconds of silence jennie let's out a sigh as she runs her hand through her hair.
"i'm sorry love. i was just stressed—not a good reason to lash out on you—but i really do mean it." she says before turning off her lamp laying down, pondering between cuddling you or just letting you be.
she decides on the latter as she turns on her side staring at the wall in front of her—teary eyes and trembling lips.
a sob escapes her mouth before she covers it up quickly trying not to wake what she though was your sleeping figure.
your heart breaks as you turn around to see her body shaking.
"baby?" you say turning on your lamp leaning over her to see broken figure.
"i'm sorry." you say leaning over hugging her.
"f-for what? i-i'm t-the o-one who was being a b-bad g-girlfriend." she says barley being able to get her words out as she took quick breaths.
"no no baby. you're not a bad girlfriend. at all. we all get stressed. it's okay. i'm not mad at all. not at you. i promise. i love you so so much."
"i love you too." she says sniffling.
you kiss her left cheek, right cheek, her cute lil nose, her forehead, and last her lips making an giggle escape her lips.
you softly smile as she holds out her arms for you.
your smile widens as you crawl into her arms smiling as she lands a kiss atop your head.
"sweet dream my (y/n) i love you."
"love you too nini."
