I know your family is supposed to be the most important thing. That the people who share your blood are your priority. I however prefer my friends. They are my true family. Being the only daughter of Antonin Dolohov, blood was the foundation of my childhood, luckily I was able to ecscape my parents looming presence in the halls of Hogwarts. Although my father is still locked away in Azkaban, living alone in his previous home, I can almost hear their harsh words.

Because of my lack of a pair of parents I am escorted to platform 9 3/4 every year by Aunt Narcissa and Uncle Lucious and I ride with Draco and our friends. I'm not technically their niece but they treat me like I am. The Malfoys have always treated me like their own daughter and Draco is super protective like a big brother. Even though we're both 4th years he acts like I'm a timid little 1st year that he needs to watch over like a hawk. It's honestly quite annoying. How the hell am I supposed to make out with any hot boys for more than two seconds if Draco isn't following me around half the time.

When we get to the platform I immediately see my best friend sense year one, Pansy. She's struggling with all of her trunks but when she sees me she drops everything and dashes over to me.

"Y/n!!" She squeals as her parents look annoyed and embarrassed and begin to pick up all of her things off the ground.

"Hey babe" I say with a chuckle as she jumps on me. Her and Draco have always had this weird unspoken thing but they swear they don't like each other so the rest of us just shrug it off

Speaking of the rest of us, my group is made up of me, pansy and Draco obviously, and then there is Blaise and Theo the five of us have been best friends since day 1. Sometimes me and pansy hangout with hermione granger but she can get a little annoying at times, constantly reminding us to do our homework.

"Let's go find The boys and find a compartment" I say as pansy finally lets go of me.

We get on the train after saying goodbye to our family's not that they care very much. We quickly found Draco, Blaise and Theo who were already sitting across from each other in a compartment.

"Any room for us?" Pans says as she opens the door with a sly grin on her face.

"No, I don't think so, you two won't fit" Blaise says with a look of contemplation on his face.

"Oh shut it Zucchini" I say pushing him aside so I could sit. I sit down in between Theo and Blaise while Pansy and Draco are taking an unusually long hug.

"C'mon guys" I say, "save it for the bedroom, your making the rest of us uncomfortable"

"Well wait a minute" Blaise looks at me with a grin, "maybe if we let it go on long enough it'll turn into some live action"

"Ya man your right" Theo looks at Blaise, "okay continue" he says refocusing his attention to Pans and Draco who are now sitting as far away from each other as possible while still being on the same seat, glaring at the three of us.

"Uh I'm going to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back" I leave the compartment and start walking down the narrow path to the restroom.

As I'm walking I pass a compartment with some people I know just from being in the same year as me. As they wave hi I turn my head to say hi back but I didn't stop walking and I ran right into what seemed like a wall. But when I look up I see piercing green eyes that bore into me. It was a boy with curly black hair and fair skin, his face looked like a carpenter had spent hours on perfecting every little detail. To put it simply, he was gorgeous. I mean, but so am I, it's a perfect match.

"Oh! Sorry" I said trying to push down the redness I felt growing steadily in my cheeks

"I'd suggest using those pretty eyes a little better princess, next time, I won't be so forgiving"

Although his little remark caught me a bit off guard I was still pretty quick on my feet and replied, "thanks for the tip, but my pretty eyes aren't usually on the look out for walking walls"

"Cold hearted, are we?" He asked with all seriousness in his voice that was cold, emotionless and intimidating. He sounded like a hollowed out tree, nothing there, just what's on the outside.

I look straight into those shining green eyes and said "actually, I run hot"

"Excuse me" i said after a second or two, pushing past him.

MATTHEO'S POV

That girl, she was beautiful. I didn't care though, she'd just end being one more lifeless body that scattered the halls of that old, dusty school. My "lovely" father was planning on destroying it after dumbledore and potters deaths. I don't like my father in the slightest but I can agree with him on the fact that the school needs to be re evaluated.

Y/N'S POV

At the sorting all the usual 1st years looking nervous and exited got sorted most went to hufflepuff and gryffendor only a few came to us and even less to ravenclaw. Contrary to popular belief us slytherins don't mind hufflepuff all that much, it's gryffendores we absolutely hate from the bottom of our hearts.

When all the 1st years had been sorted professor dumbledore didn't announce the beginning of the year like usual. He instead walked next to the sorting had and exclaimed,

"This year we have a new 4th year joining us along with our first years"

"Please give a warm welcome to Mattheo Riddle"

The great hall doors burst open and the dark haired boy i'd run into earlier on the train strode through the hall almost in slow motion. As he walked he never stopped looking straight ahead, the opposite to everyone else gawking at him. I was surprised he was the son of Voldemort but not that he was here or how pretty he was, so I turned back around in my seat and continued picking at the food on my plate.

"Y/n how are you not fazed by this" Pansy said in a hushed whisper next to me.

"I bumped into him on my way to the bathroom on the train" I replied coolly.

"And you didn't tell me!?" She said in an offended tone.

"It wasn't that big of a deal at the time" I said shrugging my shoulders.

After the sorting hat took .2 seconds to decide it finally yelled out "slytherin!". Everyone just sat still however. No clapping. No cheering. No smiles. Only awed faces, gazing up at Mattheo. Except for me, I sat calmly pushing my dinner from one side of my plate to the other.

MATTHEO'S POV

I knew everyone would stare and shit, but i was surprised that girl from the train wasn't in awe that I, the son of Lord Voldemort was the person she ran right into. I thought I would look over and see complete fear and intimidation on her face. Instead I didn't see her face at all. I wish i did though, she's stunning. No, Mattheo snap out of it, your a riddle you don't care about girls or their faces or their or feelings or anyone for that matter.
