Emerald Eyes

Part 5

A few days have passed sense the break-in at hogwarts and everyone is on edge. They're all whimps, they think that any second a big scary death eater is gonna jump out of no where and kill them. Dipshits.

I decided to cover up the tattoo Mattheo gave me. I didn't want people asking questions.

"Y/n" Pansy said at lunch one day.

"You never actually told us where you vanished too when the death eaters attacked"

"I-I um I just got carried away I guess, and lost you in the mess"

"But-" Pansy started but I cut her off

"Look guys, it really isn't that big of a deal I'm fine aren't I? No scratches or scrapes, perfectly fine"

"Are you though, y/n?" Theo looked up at me I felt like he knew something was off.

"I hope so" I murmured under my breath.

"Um- sorry guys I have to go to the bathroom but I'll see you in transfiguration, okay?"

I kissed Pansy on her head and walked out of the great hall.

As I turned the corner I was stopped by being pinned against a wall.

"WTF! Get off m-"

"Shut up" said a low raspy voice

I look up into the eyes that belonged to the person pinning me, it was those stupidly beautiful emerald eyes again.

I struggled to remove mattheo's hand from my mouth, but was eventually successful.

"Mattheo what are u doing!?"

"What happened to it!?" He asked not even caring to answer my question.

"What the hell are you talking about"

"The fucking mark y/n"

"Jesus Christ, y/n, how are you so smart but so stupid at the same time"

"Where did the mark go, it's gone and that's not supposed to happen, I need to know that you're okay"

"First of all, I'm fine, second, it's makeup, I didn't want people asking questions so I covered it up. Geez Mattheo, relax, everything's fine"

"Tell me next time, okay? I can't have that beautiful face of yours disappearing"

"What?"

"You said my face was annoying"

He looked at me and grinned like he was looking at a little baby deer trying to walk for the first time.

He took his hand and swept my hair behind my ear and the began scanning my face admiring it saying,

"It's annoyingly beautiful "

"But don't let that go to your head princess"

All I could do was stare at him as he walked away from me.

Theo was right. I'm not okay.
