Jack Shepard has left Area 52 and his team behind. Back in the navy, he plans his return and intends on doing things properly the next time around, including having a woman already on his arm so that the tabloids cannot pick apart his private life. Meanwhile, Marsha accepts a hasty proposal.

At the annual Death Valley Military Gala, Jack runs into familiar faces, and a new chapter begins at Area 52. Summer and Dylan attempt to renegotiate the terms of their breakup, an old position is filled by a new arrival, and Jack and Marsha solidify their contention.

{Chapter Two: All's Fair in Love and War}


Conflict breaks out between the two previous leaders of the Zenith Team. Jack attempts to move forward with his plans while Marsha insists on waging war every step of the way, life at Area 52 becomes imbalanced. Michelle attempts to settle into her new role and finds herself lacking preparation. Marsha is offered the solution to all her problems.

The team travels to Jack's family vineyard for a press weekend where he intends on making a very important decision. Reminiscence flies for the Zenith Team as old feelings are fanned into flame, though not all acted upon. An unexpected moment creates an impossible situation.

Time begins to run out as the team's time at the vineyard comes to a close. Jack struggles to act on his intentions with Michelle after acting on his feelings for a most unexpected individual. Those that know him best attempt to intervene, confused by his rash decisions.

Tensions rise around Area 52 as dangerous political schemes are revealed and trust is shattered. Jack and Michelle prepare for their wedding with the public eye constantly watching while Marsha and James struggle to stay connected during difficult times. Decisions of all kinds become forced and hurried as the future hangs in the balance.

The team returns to the Shepard family vineyard for the big wedding but a wrong move at the altar creates tension that finally come to a head. The wedding party attempts to hide from the press and Jack's family take matters into their own hands.

When a civil war finally breaks out at the base, characters are faced with impossible choices and tests of loyalty. Jack's military plans finally come to fruition, he must decide who he is able to trust, and who he must leave behind.

With a new chapter on the horizon at Area 52, everyone prepares to say goodbye to a beloved teammate whose intentions have not changed. When stubbornness and pride come into play, there isn't but one thing that would change her mind now.
