A soldier. That was a life I once knew, but that changed after my platoon was sent home. Each of us had a choice: live a normal life or be a part of a new project. So I chose the project and things didn't go according to plan...
A few hours later, I was awake. My eyes hurt, my heart felt like it had been punctured, and it felt like lightning and fire was coursing through me. I looked to my left and right to see my hands strapped down at the wrist.
"He's awake." "Put him back under, the general wants him to forget everything." After hearing this, I almost panicked. As the needle got closer to my arm, a small orange hue encased me.
The needle snapped as soon as it connected with the hue. Instinctually, I looked at the person to my right, inhaled and exhaled. Fire engulfed the man as he screamed while frantically trying to put the fire out.
The other froze in shock. He looked directly into my eyes and slumped over. I tried moving my arms and legs to find that they phased through the straps.
I was surprised but I had to move. Getting to the door was a struggle as I was still groggy from the anesthetic. I reached for the panel, only to fall straight through the wall and the floor.
I landed on a grate and heard footsteps. My vision became blurry as they got closer. I then blacked out.
Meanwhile...
General POV
I had been sitting in my office, writing reports when someone knocked on the door. "Enter." I was expecting one of the engineers or scientists, but I got something much worse.
In the door way was a grey and white, red-eyed wolf, standing on her hind legs with barred fangs and claws. She leapt at me as I reached for my magnum in the drawer next to me. I was stopped short by her claws knocking me to the floor.
"What... are you...?" I spoke between short breaths for air. The wolf said nothing and was about to bite my face, when my eyes changed to red. This caught her off guard and she held a confused expression.

I sat up, phasing completely through her, and pulled her by her hair. I threw her out the door and into the railing, and walked towards her. "Fire style: Fireball Jutsu!" A fireball just larger than me connected, but it had no effect.
The wolf stood up and tried to attack me again. Her claws went through my face as I grabbed her by the throat. As I closed my hand, slowly crushing her windpipe, an axe swung down towards my head.
I caught it at the last second, and saw a small red creature with horns and a blade-like tail on the other end. I forced the axe back towards her, but she held her ground surprisingly well. I was going to kill them both, when I heard a gun cock behind me.
"Let them go or I'll put a bullet through your head." Not knowing if it was a bluff or the truth, I released both the creature and the wolf. "Stay there, asshole. Make a move, you die." Then all three went through a portal in front of me with two more red creatures.
The portal closed and I let my eyes revert to their normal color and shape. Whatever those things are, they were experienced. It seemed like they had done this kind of thing before. Eventually, I will take all of their lives.
