[THE ESCAPE]

Mingi finally managed to get away from the living room he was in, which was full of members of his family. He hated it. He hated the fact that all of his family members were there to celebrate a wedding he didn't even want.

While he was going to the garden to stay in peace, he dialed his bestfriend's number, who immediately picked up.
Mingi sat down on a bench and put his phone next to his ear.

The called one screamed his lungs into the phone.
"We're on our way Mingi! A minute and we'll be there...Seonghwa forgot to iron our clothes and yes i already told him not to do anything stupid especially in front of your family-" Mingi was scared that someone might hear him so he had to be quick to talk to Hongjoong so he interrupted him.

"Hongjoong, you need to help me." Hongjoong stopped talking and started to worry. "What happened, Mingi?"
"You need to help me escape from my wedding." - the other said.
There was silence on the other line. Hongjoong sat down on his sofa. He put the phone on speaker so that Seonghwa could hear.

"Well, you see...this morning i happened to look at myself in the mirror. I looked at myself and thought: is this the life i really wanna live? I really wanna live a monotone life controlled by my parents, where i've gotta live with a girl i don't even love and get married so young just because of their amusement? The answer is obviously a no. So i decided to runaway. I don't know how and when." - Mingi whispered.

"We will find a way to get you out of there. I will talk to Seonghwa and we will find a solution, don't worry." - Hongjoong said.

Mingi heard footsteps so he frenetically closed the call, afraid of being listened.
He acted like he wasn't doing anything, and when his parents called him in, he came back in the living room and he sat between his cousins. He started tapping his foot on the ground, and while everyone was talking he looked at the clock, signing every second passing.

"Escape? And how?" - Seonghwa slightly tilted his head, looking at Hongjoong straight in the eyes. They couldn't actually believe how the situation was turning.
Hongjoong looked at the clock. 10:30. The ceremony starts at 11:00, so they have half an hour to think about the plan.

Finally, Mingi's family got out of his house, and started going to the church.
Mingi was more anxious than ever. He checked the clock every second, and he watched himself in the mirror.
His previously adjusted hair were now messed up, eyebags started forming under his eyes, and his lips were really dry.
In the complete silence of his room, Mingi's phone rang, causing him to drop the chapstick he was putting on.
When he saw the calling ID, he responded without hesitation. It was Hongjoong.

"Mingi! Are you ready? We need to get going! The ceremony starts in five minutes and we need to get there before the bride!" - Mingi's uncle called him from downstairs. Mingi's father was in their car, ready to drive them to the church. Mingi was in his room, still talking with his friends. "Guys, i need to go. They're calling me." - Mingi said, sighing.

"Hey, Mingi. Is going to be alright, okay?" - Seonghwa tried to reassure him.
"Yes! We got the plan and everything. It's okay." - Hongjoong added. Mingi's smile returned, and then he got up from the chair. He closed the call with his friends and went downstairs.

"I see you're happy huh? Let's go. Don't wanna be late on the most special day of your life." - His uncle said, dragging him outside. 'Yes, the most special day of my life' - Mingi repeated in his mind, rolling his eyes.

Seonghwa picked up everything and got in the car with Hongjoong.
"Time to get the party started." - Seonghwa stated. Hongjoong smiled and started the car.
