(note: scripting is entirely optional, but I would recommend it, it helps set intention, visualise, set safety requirements and just make the whole shifting process easier and more enjoyable.)
What is scripting? When I think of a script, I think of a play or movie script like:
Draco walks in the room.
Hermione is sitting on the floor doing homework.
Draco: Hi Hermione
Hermione: Hi Draco
blah blah blah, ect, ect
WHEN IT COMES TO SHIFTING, THIS IS NOT WHAT A SCRIPT LOOKS LIKE- because imagine writing like 20 pages of that ew
Scripting is basically a really long introduction and summary of yourself, your life, ect. Your script should also include safety, conditions of shifting, ect. (more on that later)
When shifting, you essentially create a new person to be. You can keep your name or your appliance, but most people choose not too, as its just more fun to be in a different body. For example, my name in my DR is Eleanor Lupin. I have long wavy brown hair, I have heterochromia (because that looks really cool, ect.) As you may have guessed, my name is not actually Eleanor Lupin and I am not going to hogwarts. scripting yourself as a new person can make the whole experience so much more fun and easier. I don't think anyone actually scripts themselves as their own body in their DR, but if you want to do that, you do you
Starting a script can be difficult, so I'm putting the contents of my script into this. I got most of the ideas and stuff from TikTok and Animo, so all credit to their original makers <3
- Your name
- Preferred pronouns
- What do you friends call you? (Do you have any nicknames?)
- Your age
- Your school year, ect (important if your shifting to Hogwarts)
- Your birthday (do you get many gifts, ect)
- Your parents (mine are Sirius and Remus imao)
- How tall are you?
- If your shifting to Hogwarts, what's you blood status? (I'm pureblood so Draco doesn't push me down the stairs lol)
- Your special talent if you have one
- Your favourite subject
- Your siblings
- If your in Hogwarts, your house
- Your friends
- Your Besties
- Your hobbies
- Languages you speak (if you script you can speak languages fluently, you will remember some of it when you return to your CR- guys we beat the system I-)
- Are you an ambivert, introvert, ect
- Your wand type if your shifting to Hogwarts
- Your love interest (CEDRIC DIGGORY BUT HES TOM HOLLAND OK DON'T ASK)
- Your patronus if your shifting to Hogwarts (mines a lynx because their so pretty ahh)
- Are you descendant of any royalty, ect (gain those RESPECT points from Draco)
Chances are, your going to want to script powers, here are some I've added
- My hair is always perfect
- I don't get my period and I cant get pregnant
-I never run out of money
- I am a quick thinker and can always come up with great comebacks
- My skin is always perfect
- I can keep up with work easily
- If I have a test, I can learn and remember everything easily
- I have a vivid and photographic memory
- All the food tastes 20 x better
- I have a fast metabolism and cant gain weight
And because I shift to Hogwarts, here are some other powers I scripted
- I can fly and handle a broom well
- I always know my way around the school (guys please script this because hogwarts is HUGE)
- I am a parselmouth
- Magical creatures are all attracted to my aura (in a good way lol) and all like me
- The forbidden forest is safe for me
- I always know the common room password
- I am immune to all unforgivable curses
- Love spells and potions do not work on me
- Truth potions and spells do not work on me (this is so important, no one in your DR can know you have shifted, at least script that you will never tell anyone you have shifted this is so crucial guys)
- I can produce a full bodied patronus easily
- When using floo powder and portkeys, I can always get to my destination easily without any side affects
- All my professors like me
You may want to wipe out any negative things in your world (this is a great idea)
- NO annoying bugs exist
- There is no pollution, acid rain, global warming, climate change, ect.
- There is no light or noise pollution
- There is no racism, sexism, homophobia, discrimination of any kind, ect
- Things such as animal abuse, slavery, human trafficking, ect.
Lots of people have really elaborate scripts in a giant scrapbook, with decorations and stuff, but thats really not necessary. Again, you don't even need a script. Some people just have it on a locked note in the notes app, but I would recommend printing it out, as having a physical copy of something is usually more effective. But do what's best for you
