Loki was immersed in the memories of her new "child". When she had tried to place her falna on him, there was something denying her, as if he had been claimed. Yet, she knew that he wasn't claimed at all, he told the truth. He was never in a familia. That much was for certain, however she peered into his soul just a bit and immediately felt a presence that felt familiar. In fact she knew them quite well.

Thanatos, Orpheus, Odin, Thor. She knew them. Oh - so - very well. But that wasn't the only ones. She found a trace.

A trace of a diety that is said to be even more powerful than the 3 Highest Gods.

Nyx. Out of all of the Gods and Goddesses. It was Nyx that instilled fear. She isn't mean, or rude, hardly ever, she wouldn't hurt anyone. She was motherly.

...The question remains, why was He, protecting her? It didn't make any sense! Humans couldn't hurt a God.

She thought back into the memories of his past. Each painful memory of a dreaded day, his last day of living in a world that he left.

...

"You were Tatsuya?" Torumi, his sensei, spoke out slowly. He shook his head yes. "O-Oh! All of those embarrassing things I have told you!" She put her hands to her face, blushing red.

"Out! Get out!" And so he did. When he turned the corner, he felt so weak, so tired, he had slumped his whole body against the wall.

"Not yet..." He forced his body to move, he needed to last until he graduates. It shouldn't be long now. He made his way towards a flight of stairs that led to the roof.

Each step felt heavier and heavier, he could feel himself wheezing. The double doors were right in front of him. He pushed with what little energy he had left, and then...

He saw Aigis, slowly turning her machine-like body towards him. She smiled. He smiled too.

He made a few steps to her, as she did so as well. One step at a time before he felt more tired, almost falling over. "Makoto-san!" Aigis caught him. "Welcome back...Makoto-san." He felt her metallic arms around him, although to him, she felt human.

"Ne, I have found my answer to life, Makoto-san." She had brought him to a bench, and carefully laid his head on her lap. He couldn't respond, his mouth felt dry and hoarse. "I want to stay with you, be by your side. To protect you." He was starting to not hear anything. "Our friends will be here any minute now, so please, just take a small rest."

His eyes grew heavy. He almost closed them until he heard them -

"Oi! Makoto!" Junpei was rushing towards them, with others right behind him. "Yuki-san/Yuki-kun/Yuki/Arf!"

'Everyone...!' He turned his head as his eyes shined, he felt his lips form a smile. 'Thank you!'

And he had passed. Ended up, stuck to a door that protected a Goddess that could end the world. He was protecting Nyx from Erebus. Humanity's ultimate desire to reach the end of all things.

...

She was furious, how could he still smile like that? All of his life from the day his parents had perished, was nothing more than pain and suffering. Isolation and depression.

He was not at fault, he was just caught in between a very taxing hard place.

She was sad. All of his friends didn't lose him, he lost them. His memories with them indicated he cherished them as family.

And most of all, she was happy that he could live a somewhat happy life here in this world. Granted, Loki wanted him all to herself.

"I wonder...is he still a virgin?"

And done. I didn't want to write out a full one thousand so here, have 600+ words instead.

...What? You want more? Fine then. Look forward to next week. Huzzah.

See ya.

Baka.
