✎:Him
You read the comment you just replied to and feel a sense of annoyance wash over you. Your mind is clouded with thoughts of the person you'd rather forget. You wish you could erase all memories of that person, but alas, it's not that easy. You take a deep breath and try to focus on the present, but the constant barrage of thoughts and feelings makes it difficult to detach yourself from the past.
The universe seems to be conspiring against your attempts to forget about him. Every day, something else crops up to remind you of him, and it's always in a negative way.
On top of that, your son is beginning to look more and more like him, making it even harder to erase his memory from your mind. The constant reminders feel like an onslaught, weighing you down and making it difficult to move on.
Why can't the universe cut you some slack and just let you forget about him completely? You want nothing more than to put him out of your mind for good.
Satori's hand was firmly clasped around your purse, his lips curving up into a wide smile. His eyes sparkles with excitement as he holds it up for you to see. "Mama!" he exclaims, his voice breaking through your thoughts. As you gently take the purse away, you noticed the smile quickly faded from his lips. His little hand started fidgeting, and his expression turned to worry.
"Mama, I-," he starts to say before trailing off. You could tell he was holding back something he wanted to say, but you ignore it and try to focus on the problem at hand.
"Mama... Who will get me after school...?" he finally asked, though you can tell he's still holding back his true feelings.
You try to lift his spirits, saying, "Don't worry, Tori. Auntie Ko will be the one to pick you up, but if I can make it, I will."
You see the disappointment in his eyes, and your heart sinks. You can sense that there's something he wants to say or ask, but just can't bring himself to do so. The tension is palpable, and you struggle to find the right words to reassure him. You want to be honest with him, but at the same time, you don't want to burden him with your personal problems. It's a delicate balance, and you're not sure how to navigate it.
You gently take his hand and lead him away, looking down at him with a stern expression. "Now, Satori. Let's go," you say, trying to sound confident.
However, his sad face from earlier is still etched into your mind, making it difficult to shake off the heaviness. Despite your best efforts, you can feel a twinge of sadness tug at your heart when you see the way his eyebrows furrow in a confused expression.
He tilts his head, asking, "Up?" with a sweet, innocent voice
This brat
You can't help but let out a chuckle as you see the adorable look on his face.
