The Underworld lies in the unknown, hidden away until the time is right for it to reveal itself to the Daylighters. The many beings shunned by the Daylighters for their abilities coexist in the Underworld, concealing themselves in order to stay alive. Underworlders are known as legends and myths to the Daylighters, whom believe them to be fairy tales and non-existent.
The beings of the Underworld posses Power much greater than that of Daylighters and the ability to harness it, making them far more powerful. Powers of Underworlders range from creating fires to wielding lightning bolts.
Valkyries, Witches, Vampires, Demons, Nymphs, Elves of Darkness, Light Elves, Goddesses, Gods, Fairies, Selkies, Mermaids, Werewolves, Shapeshifters, Goblins, and Pixies are the beigs known as Underworlders.
Underworlds rage age-old wars against each other time and time again, but when the wars create an unbalance, the Rebirth begins.
The Rebirth is a time where the Child of Purity is brought forward and is followed by the Corrupted Soul. They shall fight till one succumbs to Death and the Underworlds shall aly themselves on either side and fight along their Chosen One. When a Chosen One dies and not until that shall the balance be restored.
Witches
The Witches are divided into four factions based on the element their Power enables them to weild. Each of the factions, Fire, Water, Air, and Earth, is represented by a Maiden and the House of Witches is represented by the Matron.
The Matron is the political leader of the Witches and her word is law. To defy the Matron is to wish for Death. The title of Matron is a title passed down by blood fro mother to daughter and can only be revoked if the Maidens decide that the matron does not fufuill her duties as she should.
To be considered a Witch by the House, the being in question must be of full Witch blood of any faction. If there is a hint of foreign blood, the status of Witch cannot be given unless the matron orders it. Any half-blood child shall be given to Daylighters to be raised as one.
If a full-blodded Witch is unable to practice Magick, they shall be raised a Witch as their blood is pure and they can pass their blood on to futhur generations.
For the safety of all, any Witch who is deemed a Catalyst and that is unable to control themselves shall be executed.
