Penne alla Vodka

"Can you please relax ? You have three days till your business trip. I will always be here for you. You need to get up. You NEED to be yourself again. I'm sorry. I don't want to be the cause of your suffering. I miss you." said Lucy. Adri got up from the soft , comfortable bed with silky black sheets and white cloud pillows. She walks towards Lucy.
"Yeah ? You're sorry? You miss me? I'm different? So now all of the sudden I'm not myself? Get a grip Lu-cy. Why cheat on me if you love me?" said Adri screaming from the top of her lungs. The awkward silence between them mixed with immense emotions is unbearable. Lucy is distraught while Adri is feeling done with this relationship. Adri never thought after 5 years of marriage, Lucy would cheat on her.
" *Sigh* Lucy , I've always love you. Please help me understand you. Why did you do it?" said Adri. Adri stares at Lucy's eyes deeply. She notices her eyes are stressed. Bright red like a ruby, drowsy , eyelids completely drenched with her tears. Noticing the pain. The hurt that they both share. The void that is slowly becoming to form within Adri.
Lights flash, darkness appears in the bedroom , blood bursts while a knife stab from behind pierced straight into her heart. Every bone shattering from within her. Darkening thoughts starting to form. She hadn't felt her void since the outbreak with her narcissistic and abusive mother. It's taking every form of energy for her to resist the void from forming.
Adri says in a soft spoken tone " Lucy I'm really tired right now. We are together, for life and after. If you're scared that I'm going to leave you, I won't. But, the trust is completely broken. It's your job to fix the trust that was once built. I'm not going to work. I cannot work in this state. Therefore, I'm going to do something else."
Lucy glances at Adri. Adri's teardrops softly touching her cheeks. Tear after tear. She wipe her tears, holds her hands, kisses her right cheek, and says " I will forever love you, regardless on who or what comes. You are and will be first. Anything else comes second. It's always been like that since I first saw you in the grocery store. I knew right there, this is what I've been missing. Love."
"Is that so Lucy?" Said Adri. "Yes it is very so Adri." Said Lucy. Lucy gets up , grabs Adri by the hand. They both walk out the bedroom and towards the kitchen. Adri notices all of her favorite things right in front of her. "While you were asleep, I got you a couple of your favorite things. I have set up plans for us today. But, you don't have to if you don't want to. I would love if we could. Nothing is forced." Adri sees all of her favorite food and drinks on the table neatly set up with roses, candles, and a note that says "From beneath, from above, from with every breath, it is love". Freshly squeezed Lemonade , sangria , Hawaiian punch fruit juicy red, Absolut vodka soda raspberry and lemongrass.
Blueberry pancakes with whip cream, a bottle of syrup, crepes with fruits on top, a whole pumpkin pie, two tubs of cookies and cream ice cream. Rotisserie chicken on top of yellow rice with vegetables and beans, tofu coconut curry, teriyaki chicken and pineapple rice, and lastly , a penne allá vodka with a red envelope and a bar of Lindt dark chocolate next to it.
Lucy noticed the smirk on her wife's face and says "but I bet you put penne allá vodka first than anything." Lucy gives her a kiss and walks out of the apartment. Adri sits down. Doesn't think and doesn't speak. But absorbes everything that happened. Unknowing how to feel.
