kenzie : ( hums the tune to welcome your song while playing it and singing it and we see room start to pay attention and listen quietly and she realizes the club is listening ) oh ( she fixes the mic ) i didnt realize anybody was listening ( she laugh trying to hide her blushing face ) well im new here my name is kenzie delacruz as you heard from pops which by the way happy birthday

veronica : play welcome to wonderland

kenzie : um sure again spirit of the moment again to pops salud happy birthday may your successes continue to prosper

( she plays the song pan over to veronica and betty and toni all talking in awe of kenzies voice we see cheryl hypnotized by kenzies movement on the piano )

cheryl: huh sorry i love the way she plays

veronica : this is my favorite song i love her cover of it and the video she shot it in houston next to a alice and wonderland statue

cheryl: ill have to check that out later after the party

betty : you said that with a happy tone in your voice

cheryl : well before you came in we sort had a moment i looked into her eyes i see pain behind them ugh

veronica : someone crush is getting big

cheryl: what no

toni : oh god i was going to say the same thing i sort of have a crush and i didnt want to say anything cheryl but maybe kenzie can be

cheryl: oh my you are thinking what im thinking eep we both have a crush on the new girl

( we see kenzie tell the crowd as she is done with song that she is taking a break and walks up to the bar and requests another drink and cheryl walks up and sits next to kenzie )

cheryl: i was sort of hypnotized by your song

kenzie : thank you i saw your eyes from the audience they sparkled

cheryl: aww you are so sweet

kenzie : anytime ( smiles) my mom would have been so proud tp perform in a place like this

cheryl: she would be

kenzie ( smiles) so are we i mean you still up for our little

cheryl: yes umm lets go get some food from upstairs and talk

kenzie : yeah besides the smoke is getting to me

cheryl: aww ( she leads kenzie upstairs to the diner and they sit in a booth and look at menus

kenzie : um this going to seem weird but i couldnt .. ( she looks down blushing and cheryl finishes her sentence )

cheryl: to get you alone sorry ( blushing ) im sorry

kenzie : took the words right out of my mouth

cheryl: (blushing ) you are cute when you smile

kenzie : i could say the same about yours eyes they are pretty when they sparkle underneath the moonlight thats if i ever saw them ( blushing )

cheryl: maybe you can um dinner at my house tomorrow night if thats to soon

kenzie: i would like that should i bring anything ?

cheryl: wine and your aunt and your cute self

kenzie : well ok then ( laughs ) to be honest i was nervous just being here and didnt think um nevermind i dont want to say it

cheryl: to be here and sort of on a date and you toni is totally ok with us talking

kenzie : she is I would of thought

cheryl: she likes you too she thinks you are cute

kenzie : umm she would hate if said you are beautiful like a goddess

cheryl: ( giggles and blushes ) wow i dont think anyone has ever described me like that thank you im blushing

kenzie : as well as you should amor

cheryl: you know how to make a girl just melt

kenzie : a power i never knew i had

cheryl: its very cute

kenzie :( blushing ) thanks

cheryl: and to be honest you are a natural when it comes to making someone swoon like me

kenzie : im guessing it isnt easy

cheryl: but your eyes and the way you smile

kenzie: you know you are the first person to see me for me you know

cheryl: what do you mean by that

kenzie: ive only had two relationships and they only dated me for the clout and well because of my mom being a famous piano player and singer

cheryl: awww is she still...

kenzie : may she rest on peace my dad on the other hand let drugs consume him

cheryl: im so sorry but you know your mom would be so proud of you

kenzie : i miss her the tattoo you keep staring at on my collar bone

cheryl: ( blushing looking away and then back at her ) it represents your mom

kenzie : yes her spirit is always with me and somehow she led me and my aunt here to this quiet little rainy sleepy town

cheryl: and she led you right

kenzie : i was going to also say led in a beautiful direction to write a song to find a muse

cheryl : she probably led you straight to me

kenzie : ( she leans in closer and winks at cheryl) i think she did too

cheryl: ( blushing and giggling ) lets get back to the party we can have fun more

( scene switch next chapter where we see cheryl and kenzie walk back downstairs and to the bar where we see the others )
