The New Heaven

Chapter 1

I was eating some candy at the kitchen, when I noticed a strange piece of candy at the bottom of the jar. Not knowing what to do, I carefully drew my hands closer. As soon as I touched the candy, my eyes were blinded. I knew something was going on. I could feel my hands trembling. Out of nowhere I appeared inside a stranger's house. I was so relieved that two other kids were standing beside me.

"Hi. My name is Jarrad, and this is Kelsey. I see you have found your way here," remarked the strange boy. I figured that they would do no harm towards me, even though they both looked kind of like a ghost. That's when my senses told me that it was okay to introduce myself. "Hi Jarrad. My name is Kendall. So..." I said looking around, "Where is this place?"

This time Kelsey replied. "Oh, I thought you knew. This is our house. Here, we'll show you around if you want. We'll go to our room." Of course I accepted the offer. I kept peeking into rooms to see what kind of house Kelsey and Jarrad lived in. Jarrad suddenly stopped. "Here we are," he announced. I noticed that we were stepping into a strange room, so I closed the door.

"So, do you guys live alone," I asked turning around. I gasped. Kelsey and Jarrad were not with me. Jarrad's voice suddenly came into my head as a whisper. "If you could find your way to this house, can't you find your way to your own house?" Soon a candy jar appeared in front of me. I noticed something weird. There was another strange piece of candy.
