Chapter 2

Josh's POV:
Now that I'm in sophomore, I became more popular at school. I now hang out with almost all the popular 'it guys' in my school which includes, Gino who's the freshman 'it guy'...

Madison Ziegler, the 'it girl' of freshman is just very flawless and beautiful. She has her own style that she rocks and she is always sweet and kind to everyone. I always loved her since when she was two years old. When she came to the dance studio, Abby lee dance center where I used to dance with both of my sisters and of course Chloe Lukasiak, I was already in love with her. I always say to everyone Chloe's my crush to have more fame, but she's one of our school sluts and she is the 'it girl' of sophomore. I always think that I should tell Maddie that I love her, but she would get very confused and she'll think that I am lying so I can't.

I was on my bed day dreaming when I saw my phone flash on and then off. I ran to get it. It was a text message from Maddie.

Maddie: Gino broke up with me! Please help Joshie! ;( I really need your help!

And I quickly replied...

Josh: I know Mads! I'm so sorry, but I will be there for you from now on. Will you Maddie, be kind enough to be my girlfriend?

And then I sent it quick as possible and I immediately realized I just wrote what I felt and replied again

Josh: uh maddie? Uh. I didn't mean girlfriend I meant as in like as never mind.
Maddie: Josh I'm not sure but I know you like Chloe. I don't know what your talking about so I don't think you should ask me out. Your just going to play on me anyways like Gino. But ily as a friend Josh. Thanks for always being there for me and good luck asking Chloe out <3

And I froze on what she said. I really did want her to believe in me but as in me and maddie and not Chloe and I.

I figured I should go talk to her even if it was already 5:48. I walked up to her porch and rung the bell. A excited Kenzie came jumping out of the door and I smiled in response.

"Hello Josh -" she started but I cut her with the talking because she talks WAY too much and I actually mean that. "Umm Maddie here?" I asked and she nodded motioning me to come in and I nodded and smiled in response.

I walked up her staircase and finally got to her door.

"Knock knock Maddie. Can I come in?" I asked. "Hmm come in!" She yelled through the door and I opened the door and saw her. She was only wearing a dance sports bra and black booty shorts.

"I'm sorry you had to see me like this." She said facing away from me probably blushing. "It's okay." I said smiling to myself widely. "What brought you here?" She asked patting the bed next to her. So I went and sat right next to her.

"Umm you know? I actually really love you." I said words slipping out of my mouth. "Uh I didn't mean it like how I said it." I said blushing. "You know Josh? I know you don't love me so I can probably say this to you..." She said pausing for a deep breath. "I love you from deep down my heart and I wish you felt the same. I really would love to go out with you but not right now after Gino broke my heart." and with that she smiled.

"Maddie. I wish you can see that I love you! I feel the exact same way and it would be a dream to be with you!" I said a single tear rolling down my eyes. "Why? What are you crying?" Maddie asked with fear in her words. "Because you don't trust me. Because you don't believe that I love you even if you were on the other side of the world! Because even if I was your best friend since when you were two years old, you still don't trust me like you should!" I said another tear finally dropped. "Josh." She said stopping. "I know you love me a lot. I feel it too. But I can't trust you because you tell everyone that you love Chloe. You always brag about having Chloe in your life. It's all about Chloe and how perfect she is. Even if she is a slut. Even if she eats and sucks on your mouth when you two kiss, you don't mind! What is this a joke?" She said coughing and tears running down her face non stop. "Maddie. I... I know..." I stutter. "What do you know Joshua Dale Hyland? What do you know? You only know that you are only making me jealous and worthless!" Maddie screamed. "I know that I tell everyone I love Chloe, I know. I know it was a mistake and. And please forgive me. Your such an amazing, perfect dancer! You are always an amazing partner and best friend event the toughest times. You always are about me and I think it's now time for me to do those kind things back. Please will you be my girlfriend? I promise to never let you go and break you heart. I promise I will always be there for you. I will tell you why I tell everyone that I love Chloe. But all only if you say yes." I said tears running as fast as cheetahs and wishing and praying for Maddie to say yes.

There was an awkward silence between us for a couple seconds. And finally Maddie spoke up. "I... I'm sorry to tell you Josh. But I'd hate it if we were always best friends. I mean of course I'd want to be your girlfriend!" She said smiling and tears of joy splattering everywhere.

I stood up and hug the poor Maddie who was still crying and wearing only dance clothes. "I love you Maddie." I said smiling and pecking her on the cheek. "I love you too!" She said smiling.

Just then a door bell rung. And someone opened the door. "Hey Maddie here?" A Gino-like voice asked and Mackenzie replied "yep upstairs." And before Gino was came up, I locked my door and told Josh the plan.
