{ 03 • The test • }

Yura decided to make Hiro pass her « friend test », and it will be started in English class.
First, the seat.
Yura put her bag on the seat next to her so he can't sit down. She tells him to go sit next to Kyo Suzyama, but he refused. He put her bag on the floor and sits next to Yura.
Yura had a big smile on her face.
Second, sports.
She knows that Hiro loves sports and would stay in sport class all day long if he could.
Yura tells Hiro that she doesn't feel well and needs to go to the nurse, she tells him to stay with Kyo for the team work, but again he refused. He went with her at the nursery and stayed next to her during the whole hour.
She asked him why did he do this? and he responded « well because you're my first friend and I prefer you than anyone else, you're like my idol, you are so cool! »
She blushes.
*No no no no no why am I blushing?? I can't fall for him, he will hate me after he discovers the real me. Ok I have to make him pass harder tests.* she thinks.
Third and last test, the cup.
Yura invites Hiro at her house, to play some « game ».
When Hiro finally arrives, he sees no parents, no sisters, no pets, no one.
-We are going to play « One On Ten Chance You Die » she says.
-Wait what? What is this game?? says Hiro, anxious.
-We have to, everyone that puts a feet in my house have to play this game with me, it's a curse that I have for the eternity, well unless...
-Unless what???
-Unless someone kisses me, but by true love, like in the stories.
Hiro kisses her.
Yura's mind *Wait what did he just do?!....*
The cups were still on the table
*oh. it wasn't true love. It doesn't matter, I don't love him anyways*
-It wasn't true love, it didn't work. says Yura
-Oh it supposed to be true love, haha sorry!
-Anyways let's finish the game.
-Ok tell me the rules.
-First, there are 10 cups in a circle, in front of us, on the table.
-Mhm..
-Second, in one of the ten cups, there is poison.
Third, we spin the bottle to know which cup we drink until there is no left, and Last, the one with the poison needs to be in a hospital before the 10 next minutes. Understand?
-Yeah... I think I do.
-Ok, I'll go first. Yura spins the bottle and drinks it. I'm fine, it wasn't poisoned.
-What a relief. It's Hiro's turn, and he drinks the cup the bottle landed on. I'm also fine, your turn.
And it goes like this until the last cup.
It's Yura's turn to drink the last one, but before she could do anything, Hiro takes it and drinks it.
-Why did you do this?!
-Because you're my friend, I would do anything for you.
-Wha....what? but but but why??
-I told you, you're my friend.
*Oh..wow, my first true friend.* she thinks.
-Um Hiro?
-Yes?
-There was no poisoned cup...
-Wait what?

-Because, if I do, I die. It's the rules, for the curse. The curse is like a test my parents forced me to place, to see if I can trust someone.
