Hello hello! :) This is a FF1970 ending thingy, but in my version. It was inspired by a comment i saw on YouTube, on moonlight's song video. So big credits to them!
If you haven't read the story yet, go and read it because this contains spoilers, and you won't really understand if you haven't seen it. Some parts may be my own versions of stuff, like the characters, times or places.
Enjoy :)In the first week after the telephone cord cut, George and Dream were both in deep depression, but they both knew this was the best way to move on. George checked the calendulas everyday. They were growing pretty fine. He put the photograph he had of Dream on his wall, and spent minutes, maybe hours looking at the memories he had left. Dream didn't had much memories of George, only his handprint, the telephone and the amazing art of George he once scribbled on the wall. Everynight before they went to sleep, they would always bid a "goodnight, Old Man" and a "goodnight, Wrong Number" just like they usually did before the cord cut, and they were both hoping the other also wished a good night to the other. They both kept having dreams about each other. All these stuff just made it harder, but they slowly, really slowly moved on..
Wilbur was always there for George when he needed him. He knew everything, he was a really good friend.
George knew Wilbur's family well. He watched little Tommy grow up, getting a girlfriend, marrying, getting children and grandchildren. George also got old. But he never got a girlfriend, boyfriend nor never got married. His heart just couldn't take it, he couldn't forget about Dream. He sat in his elderly chair, watching Tommy play with his own grandchildren. In his hand, he had the photo of Dream, and the calendulas has grown to big and beautiful flowers. He kept staring at the picture.
"Maybe in another life we'd do the things we couldn't do, so I'd hold you in my arms and tell you how much i love you.." A tear fell as he said, then he slowly closed his eyes, falling asleep.
When he opened his eyes, he was young again, and woke up in his room. He saw his bed, the telephone, the handprints on the wall, and he also saw a door next to the bed that he never saw before. His curiosity got his mind, and after some staring and thinking, he finally opened the door. Behind the door, there stood a man. A tall man, with blonde hair, lime green eyes and bigger hands than George's. It was Dream. Dream with calendulas in his hands.
"Hello there, wrong number, " he started "I was waiting for you for so long. Everyday i was hoping for that door to open and you to show up. And it finally happened."
George ran over Dream, giving him a big hug. "I.. I've missed you.." He said, as a tear fell right on the flowers. "I know we've never met..how can you miss someone like that but..i've missed the phone calls and your voice..I-I did what you told me to!-" he said, as he looked into Dream's beautiful lime green eyes "I lived my life happily, and took good care of those flowers. I've thought about you everyday. I bid you a good night everytime. I've missed you so much. I was hoping that one day, in another life we could do the things we couldn't do, so I can hold you in my arms and tell you how much I love you. I waited, and waited, and waited. Then.. It finally happened.. Please, oh please tell me it's real! Tell me it's real and it's not just another dream!-"
"It is not a dream, is real!" Dream finished, as he gave a tight hug to George. They were both just hugging in tears, then Dream broke the silence.
"You know, I never thought you would be this pretty in person."
"Oh come onnn!" George said
"What? I can finally see you. Let me enjoy this." Dream said,
"I love you Dream."
"I love you too, George."
They said, then they began to kiss. The end :)
