George's POV:
While I was typing my initial report for this month's stock prices. Santi and Charles barged into my office which shocked my secretary who was serving me coffee.
"Surprise! We brought you lunch." Charles said and came over to hug me.
"Oh guys, so sweet naman of you." I replied and hugged Santi as well.
"Sabi kasi nitong si Charles, nagtext ka daw kanina na may dinner daw kayo with the Lopez. Eh nag-worry kami, kaya ayan nag-rush kami papunta dito." Santi said.
"Dinner lang naman yon, and besides, wala naman idea yung family ni Robert about us. Nine years na kami and look how calm we are now." I replied while opening the Domino's Pizza box and Maki Bento that they brought for me.
"Iba talaga pag perfect mistress eh noh. Ang peaceful niyo ni Rob. Samantalang ako, naka-ilang palit na ko ng phone number, tinatadtad ako ng text ng asawa ni Joseph." Charles said.
"Huwag ka na kasi magpalit, block mo na lang number niya para madali." Santi said while making coffee. "Paano pala yung dinner? Edi nandon din best friend mo?"
"Yeah, tsaka fiancé niya." I replied
"Ang strong nila noh. Mag-10 years na din. Buti ngayon lang naisipan mag-pakasal." Charles said.
"Good for Anthony. Lalagay na din siya sa tahimik." Santi said. "Pero Georgie ah, ingat ingat pa rin. Kasama ni Rob yung asawa niya."
"Santi, kilala mo ako. Super maingat ako." I replied while eating. "Kasama ko naman parents ko later. They were the one who arranged this dinner."
"Pero balitaan mo parin kami ah. Kailangan namin ng chika." Charles said.
Later that night, I arrived at my family's mansion for the dinner. There, I saw Robert sitting beside his wife and two sons. Anthony and his fiancé is sitting in front of them. While our parents are sitting on the edge of the table. I saw an empty seat beside Anthony, which is in front of Robert. I guess that will be my seat. I sat down and greeted each one of them by kissing their cheeks. I'm not a risk-taking kind of guy so I acted as a friend in front of Robert. He won't like taking risks to.
I sat down and Anthony poured me a glass of wine.
"You weren't answering my texts" Anthony said.
"Nag-text ka ba? When?" I said and took out my phone. There, I saw that my phone was on airplane mode. "Gosh, it was on airplane mode. I forgot to turn it off."
"It's okay." Anthony replied.
The dinner started with laughs and joy until they started talking about my lovelife.
"So, George, any plans for marriage yet? You're best friend is getting married now." Mrs. Lopez asked which made me stunned. Robert is staring at me but I'm not looking back at him.
"Uhmm well. I am not dating anyone yet so, no, I have no plans in the meantime." I replied while looking at Robert who was slicing the steak.
"George is still so young. He can find someone in the future" Anthony said while smiling at me. I smiled back.
"Robert? Why don't you introduce one of your single friends to George? I bet there are compatible bachelors for my son." My dad said.
"Of course, sir. I would be very happy to be a matchmaker. George, hit me up. Okay?" Robert said, great acting.
As we continue the dinner, Anthony whispered at me saying, "Let's go clubbing tonight, I'm craving for some vodka."
