Patches was laying on the couch, reading one of his favorite books, "Fifty Paws of Red", and sighed. It was April Fools Day, and no one seemed to care! It was one of his favorite holidays, (2nd to Halloween,) AND his birthday, but not a single person would react to the whoopie cushion on the toilet or the boxes to boxes of chocolate in the fridge.
He was about to just call it quits when Olive burst into the door panicked.
