The Nasty Queen and the Bratty Prince

I woke up to a castle. I was sleeping in a big comfy bed. A maid came and brought me breakfast. Only the freshest meats and greens, the juiciest steaks, and grape vines. Only finest food in the land for the prince. "Here you go prince Eijiro." I nodded and the maid left, only to come back moments later with a few scrolls. I ate all the food the small girl gave me.

I liked this dream. I could smell the food, taste it, and the maid was super nice. "You have a meeting with Queen Mitsuki in the evening. I heard she has a boy your age, though, he can be demanding." The maid read off the list. I got out of bed and got dressed. I had to wear this cheaper clothing because I was going out to the garden, I didn't want to ruin my "meeting wear."

I thanked the blonde girl and left. The hallways were big and long. They seemed to go on for hours. There were a few other maids and butlers whispering. "Hey, it's not nice to whisper. What are you guys talking about?" I demanded. "Oh, sorry my prince. We were talking about the prince you're going to meet,"

"Go on?"

"He's so mean. He hates everything and everyone. He's loud, and rude. Please be careful." They all slowly walked away. I shrugged until I met another group of people warning me of the Nasty Queen and bratty prince.

 "The queen will curse you!"

"The prince will corrupt you!"

"The queen is wicked. Please mind what you say!"

"The prince will hurt you!"

"They.Will.Make.You.Miserable."

I expected the worst. A prince that will demand everything in my castle, and his wicked mother that will curse me if I don't give her son everything. I was hesitant to go outside. What if I needed to prepare more? What if I needed to write a quick letter to prevent my subjects getting yelled at. Just cancel the whole thing.

I went outside anyway. What if they aren't as bad as everyone is making it to be? No, it has to be bad. Everyone is terrified I will be corrupt before I turn king. To go upon my throne and demand the prince shall be king instead and I will be cursed, or worse, beheaded. I shook my head. I walked by the strawberries.

The maid's strawberries looked healthier than mine. I bet they're still  alive because the maid's are taking care of it more. How can I be king if I can't even rule a strawberry garden? I sighed. I had a strawberry off of the maid's garden. It was juicy and delicious. I tasted mine. It was bitter and was way, way worse. I got a pair of garden scissors and started to cut my garden and try to kill off the bad parts of the vine.

The leaves tickled my hand. I smiled. I knew everything was going to be okay. I was going to start fresh with my garden, and try to pay more attention to the maid's advice. I unleashed a sigh of relief.

"Oi!" I heard a voice shout. "You shouldn't be messing with the prince's strawberries." It was a spiky blonde kid, maybe my age. (In the dream we're about 11 or so.) He had bright red eyes that glared at you with fire. "What?" I asked. "Stop messing with the prince's stuff. I'll tell him someone was in his garden.

"I am the prince." I stood up, all high and mighty. He blushed in embarrassment. "May I ask who you are?" I deepen my voice. The boy ran away before I could tell what he looked like behind the bushes.

I shrugged. I walked back to my castle and got dressed. I wore my best medals. I put on my crown. I looked in the mirror. "You're going to be fine. The guards are always around if you need help okay?" The maid reassured me. I felt kinda bad, assuming someone will be the villain. I had to be prepared for anything for my people, so I held my guard.

Mother came into the room. "Hello sweetie," Mother smiled. "You better be on your best behavior. Not like I have to tell you anything though, you're my sweet boy." Mother ran her fingers through my hair.

I smiled. "Thank you Mom. I will." I looked into my mirror in pride. Mom just smiled softly and did my hair for me. We enjoyed our silence.

"My royals, the Bakugo's are here,"

I was now in the main room. I got ready to get introduced.

"Queen Mistuki and prince Katsuki from the kingdom of Gon."

The Queen led an evil smile. She held the back of her hand to her lips. "My, my, my, what a wonderful castle. Wonderful indeed." The witch said. She had sorta spiky blonde hair, and she wore a big purple dress. Which brought out her bright red eyes. Similar to the boy's in the garden. Of course she couldn't be him.

I looked down to see her heir. Really spiky blonde hair, and strong face features. Mother pushed me towards the boy. She was not scared unlike the others in the castle. His mother did so as well. We met eye to eye. You could really see how shiny his hair was. How his cheeks were sharp but round. How his eyes were as red as flames, and ruby's--wait.

"You're the boy from the garden!" I pointed. His eyes were embarrassed. His face was red and he looked down. "S-sorry." it hurt him to say so. "No, no, you were just protecting my strawberries. Thank you." I smiled. I knew he didn't want to talk about it anymore so I dropped the subject.

"Me and Mitsuki have business. Go run along dear." Mom smiled. I looked back at the boy. He was fascinated with the drapes, and decor. "Want me to show you around?" I asked. He hesitated. I looked away for a second. I wanted to see how far away the guards were. I wanted to  see if we could get away from them somehow- wait!? Where'd he go?

The boy just left. Without a trace. I sighed. I looked around. He was in the hallway. I ran up to him. "Your garden." the boy said. "Yeah?" He looked at me. I felt a little red. "Can we go? To the garden I mean." His red eyes looked less threatened. "S-sure." I walked into the backyard of my castle with the boy.

He looked so fascinated with the forest. "Tag! You're it!" I ran into the woods. I hid behind a tree and looked for him. He looked so  confused. "Oh! Right, tag." He looked kinda red playing a childish game like tag. He walked towards the forest. He shrugged and moved past the tree I was behind. I let out a small giggle. I looked back up and he wasn't there. I turned around with a gasp. He had his hands behind his back. "Boo." he kinda had an evil smile like his mother, but, his was kinder.

I laughed. "What do I do now?" the boy was shy to admit he didn't know what he was doing. "You have to catch me!" I ran. He looked up like he was trying to figure out something. Then he realized how far I've gotten. A light bulb went off. He now knew what to do. He chased after me. He was fast, but not fast enough. I jumped over a pot and so did he. I jumped off a rock and he followed.

The chase was on!
