Jason was worried. About himself, yes. About Piper? Yes. About Leo? Definitely. He had seen pain before and he could see that Leo had definitely been in pain.
Jason nearly slammed into a locker, caught up in his thoughts.
"Oh hey Pipes."
"Hey." Piper replied, obviously distracted.
'Right. So my best friend is acting weird and my girlfriend is acting weirder. Great' he thought.
He smiled at Piper though, and hugged her from behind. "What's up with you?" He asked.
Piper looked at him wildly, "Um- N-nothing." She managed, obviously lying. She moved away from him, carefully guarding herself. This was weird.
Piper normally was open and affectionate.
However about a week after... something had happened, she stopped being so open.
She was more guarded and cautious around Jason which worried him. What had happened?
Piper pulled on another sweater, again, weird because she already had a baggy shirt on but hey, who was Jason to judge. The school was cold anyway.
"You ready for lunch?" He questioned, putting his hands over her stomach in a sort of gentle way.
Piper did not like that- apparently because she immediately moved and started walking quickly away. "Yep!" She said, sounding strained.
Jason waited a moment before following her, confused. This had been an interesting day. First Nico and Will getting them sent to detention, then Pipers reactions to whatever she found, then Leo acting off and Piper acting even more strange.
He wished he could fix everything but he couldn't figure out how.
