My flame - Chapter 35

After your talk with Dabi the two of you laid on the bed just holding each other until you fell asleep together. You had another peaceful sleep without nightmares.

You wake up the next morning and walk down to the bar. Shigaraki is already sitting there.

Y/N: "Good morning Shiggy."

He looks at you with a shocked expression.

Shigaraki: "You look chipper today, is Toga rubbing off on you?"

Just then Toga walks in rubbing her eyes.

Toga: "Are you guys talking about me?"

Y/N: "Shiggy was just saying how nice it is to have you around."

She looks at Shigaraki who just scoffs.

Y/N: "I just came to get some breakfast for me and Dabi."

You grab two plates and start to walk away when Shigaraki calls to you.

Shigaraki: "I don't think it's a good idea for you and Dabi to be together."

Y/N: "Excuse me?"

Shigaraki: "In our line of work feelings only make you vulnerable. You're going to be the reason he gets killed."

Y/N: "Fuck you Shigaraki!"

You storm off back to your room but his words just keep playing in your head. *You're going to be the reason he gets killed.* You try to shrug it off and put a smile on your face before you walk into the room. You wake Dabi up and hand him his breakfast. The two of you sit and enjoy your breakfast in a peaceful silence. When you finish he turns to you. Dabi stares at you and you look down feeling a bit uncomfortable with his eyes piercing through you.

Dabi: "You're such an idiot."

Y/N: "What? Why?"

Dabi: "Because you haven't realized how beautiful you are yet."

You blush and look away from him. You've definitely never thought of yourself as beautiful. Average at best. He lifts your chin with his finger so you look at him.

Dabi: "You've been through hell and you still look amazing. Come with me, I want to show you something."

He gets off the bed and takes your hand. You follow him into the bathroom and he stops you in front of the mirror standing behind you.

Dabi: "Do you see how beautiful you are?"

Y/N: "I don't see it that way."

Dabi: "Then I'll have to change that."

Y/N: "How?"

Dabi: "With love."

You chuckle.

Y/N: "That's so corny."

Dabi: "I mean it. You deserve to live a good life and I want to give that to you. I swear I will help you get through everything and I will love and protect you always."

You feel tears coming up in your eyes as you turn to him and hug him.

Y/N: "Why are you so good to me."

Dabi: "Why? Because I love you. Because you are worth protecting. Because you give me a reason to smile."
