I made my way down to the kitchen to grab a quick snack before we left for Kings Cross. As i hit the bottom step I spotted Matheo headed down one of the halls leading to the garden
"Matheo wait up!" I shouted. He kept walking as if he didn't hear me at all.
"Uh hello? What are you doing." I asked as I picked up speed in his direction. Still no reply. I finally caught up to him and grabbed his armand forced him to look at me.
"What was that about? Where are you going anyways?" I asked him.
His facial expressions were a mix of anger and guilt.
"Just going to the garden, got some things to figure out." He said while not making any eye contact.
"Hey so why didn't anyone tell me about the meetings over the summer? And why does Theo think I know where a vanishing cabinet is?" I said before he could get away.
He looked at me now his face showing all guilt and no anger. This can't be good.
"Your father and I decided it would be better if we gave you a seperate assignment, this one isn't meant for you." He said slowly and it was obvious he was still hiding something.
"Since when did you and him make my decisions for me.. I'm working with them to find this cabinet the other assignments can wait I'm sure." I said slightly annoyed that they thought I couldn't make decisions for myself.
"No no it's not like that.. It's just, well.. they um they kind of let the Pucey's in on the assignment, which means that A-".
"Adrian is going to be helping with the vanishing cabinet.. how is that even allowed, I thought he was expelled?" I asked sounding more annoyed than before.
"He was only expelled for a year, his family has a lot of money and so they paid for him to be re enrolled." He said calmly.
Of course they did. That means he was at all of the meetings over the summer which would make sense as to why I was never made aware of them.
"Okay so what, I can still be apart of the assignment, I don't care. I'm not going to let him ruin my life forever Matheo." I said sternly. "Plus that was over a year ago, I'd like to see him try and control me now.. I'd put him in his place before I let him hurt me."
"Yeah, okay.. we'll figure it out." He said.

Pansy and I made our way onto the train walking down the aisle before we found our friends sitting in a secluded area in the back. We walked in and shut the door behind us. Sitting in the cubicle with us was Draco, Millie, Lorenzo and.... Adrian.
"Where's Theo?" Pansy asked while taking a seat next to Draco and Millie. Leaving the only empty spots in between Adrian and Lorenzo. I sat as close as possible to Lorenzo without it being obvious I was trying to avoid Adrian.
"He went to find Blaise and Matheo." That voice pierced through my heart when I heard it. I didn't even know that was possible. I looked over in the direction of where the voice came from and made eye contact with the boy who shattered my heart a little over a year ago. He looked guilty and maybe even a little bit sad. Hmm Weird.
The sound of the snack trolley broke the silence.
"Oooh I want some sugar quills I'll be back!" Said Millie.
"I'm going to get a pack of droobles", said Draco.
Before I realized it, everyone had left the small cubicle leaving Adrian and I alone.
"How've you been Rosy?" he asked.
"Don't do that" I said quickly. Nobody had ever called me that except for him, he always used to call me by my middle name.
